Transfer students have different core requirements depending on the amount of credits they transfer. Anyone who
transfers in with an associates degree, regardless of the number of credits, is considered core complete.
 Anyone who transfers in an associates or 57 credits from a four year institution is considered core complete.
 Transfer students with at least 30 credits of liberal arts and sciences with at least two courses in each of the
three areas of Component Two, including a lab science will be exempt from Component Two, but must
complete Component One
 Transfer students with at least 30 credits of liberal arts and sciences but fewer than two courses in any of the
three areas or lacking a lab science must take whatever additional core courses are necessary to equal two in
each area, including a lab science, to Complete Component Two.
 Transfer students with fewer than 30 credits of liberal arts and sciences must complete all of the requirements
for Components One and Two.
Major Course Requirements
Liberal Studies: 36 credits, B.S. (please note B.S. degree requires 60 credits of liberal arts credit)
Must take four courses (at least twelve hours) in each of the three groups.
