Neil Anderson Pearl Logan Chair in Rural Education James Cook University Australia Email : [email protected] Biography : Neil Anderson is a Professor of Education and holds the distinguished Pearl Logan Chair in Rural Education at James Cook University, Australia. He is a senior fellow of the ‘Cairns Institute’ for advanced studies in the social sciences and humanities. Neil’s research is in the area of Rural Education, particularly involving the use of Information Communication Technologies, Design Thinking and new strategies for effective intercultural collaboration. He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed papers and the influential book “Equity and Information Communication Technology in Education” published by Peter Lang, New York in 2009. Professor Anderson served on the National Selection Committee for the Australian Research Council, Future Fellows Scheme in 2011. He has received awards including 'outstanding contribution to research' from the Australian Computer Society and the university award for 'postgraduate supervisor of the year' and 'Literati Society Award' from Emerald journals.
