Seeking
PRINCIPAL and ENSEMBLE performers for the following production of
You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown book by John Gordon, music by Clark Gesner, lyrics Clark Gesner
Based on the classic Charles Schulz comic strip, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a charmingly clever musical
compilation of skits and monologues revolving around Charlie Brown and his friends, including Lucy, Linus, Schroeder,
Sally, and his imaginative dog, Snoopy. We follow Charlie Brown through a day of book reports, baseball, and kite flying as
he tries to discover what makes a “good man.”
All performers must be able to sing, dance, and act: classical musical theater voice; ballet, jazz and
modern dance skills required; acrobatics and tumbling a plus. Actors of all ethnicities, abilities and gender
identities encouraged to audition.
Audition Information
Please prepare two 16-bar selections of Broadway show tunes: one upbeat and one ballad. Please
choose music that shows your range and is appropriate to your age. Please do not choose any songs
from the production.
Bring a headshot and resume, character shoes, and appropriate clothing for dance. Be prepared to learn
a short dance combination and to read sides from the show as directed.
Enter Georgetown Lutheran Church from Wisconsin Avenue and look for signage directing you to the
specific room. Check in with the monitor and receive your audition number.
