Curated Luxury For Every Room in the Home
(New York, NY, February 2017) The Architectural Digest Design Show, March 16—19,
in New York City, will offer designers, architects, and consumers an opportunity to
discover exceptional finds for every room in the home—all under one roof. The highly
anticipated show is a one-stop, curated design destination with new products from more
than 400 brands. Attendees can source everything from indoor and outdoor furniture,
accessories, fine art pieces, and objets d’art to paint, kitchen & bath fittings, tile, flooring,
and windows, and have the opportunity to meet many of the product designers and
makers.
Here is a selection of products that can be shopped and sourced at the 2017 show:
LIVING ROOM:
The Caprichosa Sofa by KOKET is characterized by
chic curves and a luxurious look. The versatile piece
boasts elegantly shaped feet in brass, stainless steel,
or copper, with a glossy or matte finish. Upholstery can
be chosen from the wide range of rich colors in the
KOKET Textiles collection. Four accent pillows are
included.
DINING ROOM:
IMAESTRI’s Big Doom Luxury Table will make its
debut at the show. Made in Italy, the 70-inch table is
crafted from solid walnut and available with a leather or
wood insert. With the look of timeless elegance, it can
live comfortably amid both modern and classic
surroundings.
BEDROOM:
The Orbit Sconce from Workstead is a modern
interpretation of an early American candle form. With a
reflective spun brass disc rotating 320 degrees, the sconce can act as both a reflector
and deflector of light. The most elemental piece in the Orbit series, the sconce radiates a
unique and warm glow from a single point of light. It is made in the U.S.
CHILDREN’S ROOM
From dressers and cribs to a new line of gliders,
ducduc will bring its made-to-order line of chic,
conscientiously-constructed and eco-friendly modern
children’s furniture to the show. Each customizable
piece is manufactured in Connecticut by master
builders and artisans.
KITCHEN:
The Jenn-Air dual convection wall oven features
wireless connectivity and an app for IOS and Android
devices, giving users control of the oven’s functions
and performance from their smartphones/tablets and
integrations with the Nest Learning Thermostat. At the
Show, Jenn-Air will debut additional advancements to
its connected wall oven and refrigerator along with a
new collection of innovative cooking surfaces.
BATHROOM:
Waterworks’ Magma is a handmade ceramic tile created
from the fine-grained lava of an erupting volcano. It
presents a richness and a decidedly modern feel. With
unique chemistry, texture, and appealing variations in
carefully curated color, it elegantly changes the mood of
bath or kitchen.
OFFICE:
McKenzie & Keim is a new lighting studio based in
Chicago. Its debut collection includes the Pivot Table
a
Lamp, a minimalist design, which features a brass armature, a houndstooth cloth cord,
and a white oak base. Each lamp is made to order and uses efficient, replaceable LED
bulbs. The Pivot Table Lamp is available in natural or blackened finishes.
PARLOR:
Perfect for entertaining, this Champagne cart from
ZELOUF+BELL combines form and function with
graphics reminiscent of the iconic Memphis-style. It
was designed for Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud in black
Bolivar with a citrine tray and blackened brass.
FOYER:
MADE artist Cecile Brunswick is introducing an
exciting new series of small elliptical drawings done
with white or black charcoal on paper, as well as
large-format oil on canvas pieces. Every home
deserves a grand entrance. Brunswick’s “Double” is a
cheerful piece that will give guests a striking first
impression.
DRESSING ROOM:
Metalprogetti, an Italian high-tech innovator specializing in
automated clothing retrieval systems, will present Augusto,
a revolutionary way to store, organize, and retrieve
garments in the home. It will be available in two versions,
including Augusto Ready and Augusto Custom.
BACKYARD:
Pennoyer Newman produces custom garden containers
that are cast from estate originals. From industrial planters
to classic rounds, the collection features more than 400
stone replicas that are lightweight and weather resistant.
Pennoyer Newman casting is handcrafted in New York City
using a unique composition of pummeled marble, rock, and resin. The use of marble
encourages the growth of moss and lichen on the containers, which creates the timeless
and highly sought-after look of aged beauty.
