Make a foldable that identify the uses (at least 3) of genetically modified organisms and a controversy of each. 10 4. Create a diagram that demonstrates the differences between two pathogens. 5 5. Create a Venn diagram that compares and contrasts outbreaks and pandemics 10 6. Create a graphic organizer such as a spider map or table that identifies and explains the ways disease transmission can be slowed (hygiene, vaccines….) 10 7. Describe the impacts to infrastructure during a pandemic. Be specific. 5 8. Create a diagram that demonstrates the differences between pandemic and epidemic. Be specific and provide examples of each. 10 A Level Assignments You must complete 10 points in this section. Assignment Possible Earned 1. Create 5 multiple choice test questions. You must explain the answer to each question and explain why every other answer choice is wrong. 2. Make an original diagram, flow chart, or graphic organizer showing how all the concepts we have studied about pathogens and disease transmission (pathogens, vaccines, disease transmission, genetically modified) are connected. Must have color and must be creative. 20 10 Total Points________/100 Your score is your decision. It is based on following directions, and your total points completed. You must do at least 10 points per section (A, B and C) and attempt a total of 100 points. At the end of day 1 (12/18) you must have a minimum of 35 points completed. At the end of day 2 (12/19) you must have a minimum of 70 points completed. At the end of day 3 (12/20) you must have a minimum of 100 points completed. NOTE: If you would like extra credit, you MAY do more than 100 points worth of assignments.
