About Foods.
Some foods will be measured as
fluids. Any food that turns to liquid
at room temperature will be
measured. For example:
• custard
• pudding
• jello
• ice cream
• frozen yogurt
• popsicles
• soup and broth
• ice water
Ice water equals about half the
amount of ice chips. A full cup of
ice is equal to 1/2 cup of water
(120cc).

• Please save all urine and liquid
stools. Feel free to call your nurse
when you come back from the
bathroom. She will measure and
empty the container.
We want to thank you for helping
us. Recording these fluid amounts
is a very important part of your
health care.
