A Letter From Our CEO
Happy New Year! The Board of Directors, Staff, and I hope
your holidays have been full of family, friends and good
cheer.
With the New Year, there are new changes! On December 2,
2013, Mrs. Julie Rushing, our former Operations Officer, accepted the position of President/CEO. The Board of Directors,
Management, and Staff all congratulate Julie and wish her

having worked her way up from Teller to CEO. We are all excited for Julie.
Start Your
Summer Plans
Today!
This will be my final newsletter article after serving for the past twelve years as your
President/CEO. Please allow me to look back over the last twelve years. When I arrived, the assets were $19 million. We did not offer Debit Cards, Online Banking & Bill
Pay, E-Statements, Home Mortgages, Open End lending, Home Equity loans, or Home
Improvement loans. We had only one branch, and membership was open to only Wexford County. Currently, our assets are at $45 million. We have two offices that cover
three counties and serve not only people that live or work in those counties, but also
those who are educated or worship there.
Winter days may be filled with snow,
ice and cold, but with a Toy Loan from
Wexford Community Credit Union,
you can warm your chilled bones with
plans for summer fun.
It has been an honor and pleasure working with the Board of Directors and Staff. I
cannot tell you how much I love hearing from people about the friendly, good service that they receive from the staff. We are a “People Helping People” Credit Union!
Thank you, Staff, you are the best!!

RETIREMENT:
How to Get Set for Success
No matter your age, saving for retirement can seem like a daunting task. But whether
you’re just out of high school or well-established in your career, getting set for a successful retirement may be simpler than you think. Here are a few tips to help you get
started:
„„ Start saving early. Save 5-10% of your income as soon as possible, and avoid
touching that money again until you actually retire.
„„ Make a budget and keep to it. This will help you avoid overspending and using
your savings to make ends meet.
„„ Save before spending. Setting up a direct deposit from your paycheck to a retirement account is a great way to ensure your savings is set aside before you have a
chance to spend it
„„ Diversify and rebalance your savings. This will help ensure you make the most
of your savings.
