REGULATIONS GOVERNING DOGS & CATS
INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE TYPE OR PRINT CLEARLY
• Animals are not allowed to run at large.
• Animals are not allowed to create excessive or untimely noise.
• Animals must be kept on a leash on any Village street, sidewalk, parkway, or public area. A
leash may not be more than 8 feet in length.

Complete all boxes of information for any new vehicle you may have obtained since last
year. The first paragraph second and third sentences to read: From the Schedule of Fees,
use the code for the proper license, type and appropriate fee. Enter this code in the "code"
block of the application.

For the State license plate number, record the number of the most current State plate in
your possession (Temporary/Permanent).

Senior Citizen discount is valid for vehicles owned by residents who are sixty-five (65)
years of age or older by May 31st preceding new sticker year. Handicap discount is valid
for vehicles owned by residents with handicap license plates.
Limit two (2) discounts on lowest priced stickers per household as indicated by asterisk.
For discounted stickers, you must provide vehicle registration, proof of age or disability
status for vets to qualify.

Return the completed application form intact (do not separate) to Village Hall with your
check or money order, either in person, mail, or drop box located outside the Village Hall.
Passenger Car Licenses (cars, motorcylces, and “B” trucks only) are also available at various Currency Exchanges within Elk Grove Village. To avoid long lines, please complete
and return your application early.
DISPLAY IMMEDIATELY- stickers must be displayed in the passenger side lower right
hand corner of the windshield by June 1st. Stickers are valid June 1st to May 31st .
Failure to purchase and display the current sticker by June 1st will be subject to police
enforcement and additional penalties.

No refunds will be given after thirty days from the date of purchase.

If you trade-in your vehicle or replace your windshield during the sticker season, remove
the current sticker from window and return it for a $3 transfer sticker. Without the return
of the old sticker, your replacement sticker will be full price. Lost or misplaced stickers
are not eligible for the $3 transfer rate – replacements are at original cost.
VEHICLE STICKER REQUIRED
Every resident or business must provide a vehicle sticker for each vehicle registered or housed
to an address within the corporate limits of Elk Grove Village. Stickers are required within 30
days for a new vehicle purchased, new resident, or new business.
• Residents may not allow any animal to deposit excretory matter on property other than that
of the owner. Excretory matter may not be allowed to accumulate on any property, and must
be picked up on a timely basis.
• When walking a dog, a proper receptacle shall be carried to remove any excretory matter.
The receptacle must be clearly visible.
• Animals are not allowed to molest passersby, attack persons or animals, damage or impair the
value of property or detrimentally affect the public.
• Residents must maintain any place where any animal is or may be kept in a clean condition.
• Residents shall not cruelly treat any animal.
• Residents shall not keep an animal in such a manner as to cause injury to the animal.
