nasal irritation.
Ingestion: Non toxic.
Skin Contact: Not expected to be health hazard from skin
exposure.
Eye Contact: No information found, but expected to be a

Chronic Health Effects: This product contains small
amounts of crystalline silica. Long-term exposure to crystalline silica causes silicosis, a form of pulmonary fibrosis. Continued exposure to crystalline silica can lead to cardiopulmonary impairment. Symptoms are usually delayed (10
years or more).
Accute Health Effects: Crystalline silica has been reviewed
by IRAC. IARC found limited evidence for carcinogenicity of
crystalline silica in humans and sufficient evidence in experimental animals.

Section 6: First Aid Measure
Inhalation: If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing,
give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
Get medical attention.
Sensitivity to chemical Impact : N/A
Sensitivity to Static Discharge : N/A
Special Remarks on Explosion Hazards:
When a mixture of calcium carbonate and magnesium is
heated in a current of hydrogen, a violent explosion occurs.
Skin Contact: Wash with soap and water. Cover irritated skin
with an emollient. Get medical advice if irritation occurs.
Section 9: Handling and Storage
Eye Contact: Check for and remove contact lenses. In case of
contact immediately flush eyes with gentle but large stream
of water for at least 15 minutes. Warm water must be used.
Call a physician if irritation occurs.
Precautions for safe handling:
Do not ingest. Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with eyes.
Wear suitable protective clothing. If ingested, seek medical
advice immediately and show the container or the label.
Keep away from incompatibles such as oxidizing agents,
acids.
Section 7: Accidental Release Measures
Storage:
Keep container tightly closed. Keep container in a cool, well
-ventilated area. Hygroscopic. Protect against physical
damage. Isolate from incompatible substances.
Ventilate area of leak or spill.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Small Spill:
Use appropriate tools to put the spilled solid in a convenient
waste disposal container. Finish cleaning by spreading water
on the contaminated surface and dispose of according to
local and regional authority requirements.
Large Spill:
Use a shovel to put the material into a convenient waste disposal container. Finish cleaning by spreading water on the
contaminated surface and allow to evacuate through the
sanitary system. Be careful that the product is not present at
a concentration level above TLV. Check TLV on the MSDS and
with local authorities.
Section 8: Fire Fighting Measures
Engineering Controls:
Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other
engineering controls to keep airborne levels below recommended exposure limits. If user operations generate dust,
fume or mist, use ventilation to keep exposure to airborne
contaminants below the exposure limit.
Personal Protection:
Personal Respirators:
For emergencies or instances where the exposure levels
are not known, use a full-face piece positive-pressure, airsupplied respirator.

WARNING: Air-purifying respirators do not protect workers
in oxygen-deficient atmospheres.
Skin Protection:
Wear impervious protective clothing, as appropriate, to
prevent skin contact. ( Lab Coat, Gloves )
Eye Protection:
Special Remarks on Fire Hazards:
Will ignite and burn fiercely in contact with fluorine.
Extinguishing Media:
Use extinguishing Media appropriate to surrounding fire
conditions.
Protection of Fire-Fighters:
Calcium Carbonate is generally non-flammable, but ignites on
contact with fluorine. Wear adequate personal protection to
prevent contact with material or its combustion products.
Firefighters should use self-contained NIOSH approved
breathing apparatus with full face piece to protect against
the products of combustion.
Use chemical safety goggles and/or full face shield where
dusting or splashing of solutions is possible. Maintain eye
wash fountain and quick-drench facilities in work area.
