Cool Activities in the ‘Burgh

Thanksgiving is just setting in, and besides from dinner with all your family, here are a couple things to keep you
busy on Thanksgiving weekend! The Nationality Rooms are a glimpse of cultures foreign and past, which will be dressed up
for Thanksgiving. Sometimes, cooking and cleaning for Thanksgiving is too much for some people. If so, then enjoy a nice
Thanksgiving meal with your family at LeMont’s. It has beautiful views of the ‘burgh and a great grand buffet. Join the Y on
Thanksgiving morning at PNC Park for the 20th annual PNC YMCA Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot race for charity. In the
annual Backyard Brawl, The Pittsburgh Panthers take on their biggest rival, the West Virginia Mountaineers, at Heinz Field,
so come along! Lastly, Winter Flower Show At Phipps is a fun event to go to! The day after Thanksgiving is opening day for
this popular annual show at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

Movie Reviews

Come to the magical world of Neverland, in the new movie Pan. This movie is about Peter, the mischievous 12 year old orphan. One night when Peter was sleeping, he was taken away to a magical world filled with enchanted creatures. This place
was called Neverland. During his journey to find the secret of his mother, he comes across these intriguing creatures. In this
new surroundings, Peter and his friends, James Hook and Tiger Lily, have to work together to save Neverland. This movie is
a new and fantastic rendition of the traditional Peter Pan.
6th grade and below
It is time to get into the Thanksgiving spirit and what better way to do that then watch “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.” Charlie Brown is talking to Peppermint Patty and she invites herself over to his house for Thanksgiving. After inviting
herself, she ends up inviting all of her friends over to Charlie Brown’s house for Thanksgiving. If you want to find out how this
all plays out, you will have to watch “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.”

Our fall SBS sports are starting up! The Varsity Sabers’ soccer team are section champs and are going
6-1. They have made playoffs and are headed to try and to win the championship. The volleyball team
ended their season on Saber Senior Night.
The cross country team finished out the season successfully. At the diocesan championships, Angelina
Brush got 2nd in the JV open race, Ava Palamone placed 4th in the JV open race, Anna Reynolds got 4th
overall in the JV race. In the varsity race, Jacob Brush medaled and got 25th and Jackie Moon got 12th.
All of our basketball teams will soon be participating in the annual tipoff tournament. All of the teams
have been having practices and are working hard to prepare to have a successful season.



Round pencil

Favorite candies
What To Do:
1. First, dip your cone in the water for thirty seconds.
2. Next, roll the end of the cone around the pencil to make a curly end.
3. After the cone dries, fill the cone with candies.
