Mail Manager/Mail Manager FS Network

BCC Mail Manager Full Service
Network Installation
Overview
When running the Mail Manager Installation program, as described in Section A - Mail
Manager Full Service Server Installation, the following screen will be displayed:
The first choice is for installing the Network Version. The second choice is available if you
have licensed the Network Version but only wish to install the Single User Version. The
choice of which Network installation you select on the next dialog depends upon your
physical network configuration and whether or not you wish to run Mail Manager Full
Service on the “Server” computer as well as each individual workstation.
If you are installing on a peer-to-peer type of network, (i.e., a network that does not have a
central server with one or more client workstations) you should select Local Network
Installation. With this configuration, the Mail Manager Full Service program can be run
from this computer as well as from any of the workstations from which you have run the
client installation as described in Section B - Mail Manager Full Service Workstation
(Client) Install.
If you are installing the Network Version to a central repository, you should select Server
Installation. In this configuration, Mail Manager Full Service cannot be run from the server
computer but must be run on a workstation from which you have run the client installation
