Crooked Row Farm
Crooked Row Farm is a small family farm entering their 7th CSA season. They grow 100% of their
vegetables right here in Lexington, using sustainable agriculture techniques. They also offer a curated
selection of meat and honey products from other local farmers. Rather than pre-packed shares, produce
is displayed in a market style setting for you to pick and choose what you would like. For the 2017 CSA
season they are offering full customization of your CSA share...so you only take what you love! They also

Summer Share - 12 weeks - 6/2 thru 8/19 - $340 or $32/wk - The very best of summer in KY!
Fall Share - 12 weeks - 8/25 thru 11/11 - $340 or $32/wk - End of summer and early days of fall.
Pick-up/delivery options: Pick-up is on the farm (5999 Winchester Rd. Lexington, KY. 40509), Fridays 47pm.
Delivery is available any time needed and is $5 for delivery to any address located in Lexington or
Winchester.

Elmwood Stock Farm
Elmwood Stock Farm is a USDA Certified Organic farm located just north of Lexington in Scott County.
The farm has offered a CSA program for 13 years and all items in their shares are grown at Elmwood. In
addition to vegetables, they offer Grass-Fed Beef along with Pastured Chicken and Egg Shares - all
Certified Organic.
Season: Summer Season 22 weeks (May through September); Fall Season distributions every 2 weeks
(October - December); Winter Season distributions every 2 weeks (January - March)

Share options: Mini Share ($20 per week/ $440 season total) is designed to feed single adults or
couples who eat out often. Regular Share ($29.50 per week/$649 season total) is designed to feed two
adults or a small household most of their weekly vegetable needs. Robust Share ($40 per week/ $880
total) is designed to feed a larger family or vegetarian couple most of their weekly vegetable needs.
Egg Share, Chicken Share, Beef Share, Pantry Share, and Bone Broth Shares also available.

FoodChain
FoodChain is a non-profit, indoor aquaponics farm, located right next door to West Sixth Brewery, in the
Bread Box. As an educational nonprofit, part of our mission is to demonstrate economic viability for
innovative urban farms, as well as provide unique programming on food production and accessibility to
diverse groups throughout the region. Each share will be enough for 4 servings of fresh salad to end the
winter with a burst of fresh greens, chock full of vitamins and minerals!
Season: Our first CSA is 8 weeks, from February 15th to April 5th. There will be additional 8 week
sessions to be announced.
Share Options: A share is $15/week and includes pea shoots, sunflower shoots, and a rotating weekly
sample of exciting microgreens to spice up your life! Share includes recipe ideas, how to use your
micros, and unique nutrient profiles for each variety!
Pick Up/Drop-off Locations:
Pick up will be at West 6th Brewery every Wednesday afternoon, starting Feb 15th 2016.

Greenhouse 17
We are an advocacy agency for survivors of domestic violence and we believe that nature, beauty,
movement, and the creative process are important healing tools for survivors of trauma. We hire
women living in our emergency shelter to work on our onsite farm, growing chemical free produce for
our emergency shelter along with seasonal herbs and cut flowers to share with our community.
Season: 16 or 4 weeks, June thru September
Pick up/drop off locations: Two locations in downtown Lexington and one in Hamburg.

GreenPasturesCSA
Located in Fayette County on Georgetown Road, GreenPasturesCSA offers three separate CSAs – one for
vegetables, one for meat and one for eggs. Each is delivered to your doorstep.
Season: Vegetable CSA - 22 weeks. The shares are delivered to your door each week during summer.
Egg CSA - all year long. One or two dozen eggs (or more) are delivered to you every two weeks.
Meat CSA- all year long, delivered once a month, with sixth-month commitment.
Share Options: We have three Vegetable CSA options: Small, Medium, Large, Prices TBA at event.
Meat Options: Small: (8 lbs.) $16 a week, $65 a month. Regular: $23 a week, $95 a month.
Large: $37 a week, $150 a month.
Egg Options: one dozen every two weeks, $130 a year; two dozen every two weeks, $250 a year. We
also offer chicken-only shares and welcome bulk orders of beef, chicken, pork and lamb. Call for details.
Pickup/Drop-off Locations: We currently offer front-door delivery in Fayette, Woodford and Scott
counties.

Howlin’ Wolf Farm
Howlin Wolf Farm is a 30-acre produce and livestock farm located in Lexington, just minutes from
downtown. We are a volunteer run operation that offers traditional vegetable and worker shares,
providing an opportunity for local folks to get involved in growing their own food, and to have a little fun
while they’re at it! We are also offering our traditional vegetable shares (in limited quantities, only 50
available this year) for folks who can’t afford the time to work out on the farm.
Season: 20 Weeks
Share Options: Worker shares are $200 and will begin mid-May. Workers are expected to volunteer 3
hours per week, and pickups will be from the farm. We will take as many worker shares as we can get!
Standard Shares are priced at $400 and will begin in mid-June. Shareholders can expect a variety of
fresh, local produce.

All of our shareholders will also receive a 20% discount at our farm stand at the Lexington Farmers’
Market and 10% off all meats, herbs, eggs, merchandise and other items for sale by Howlin’ Wolf Farm,
both in our booth at on our webstore.

Lazy Eight Stock Farm
Lazy Eight Stock Farm is a 420 acre Certified Organic family farm located on the banks of the Paint Lick
creek in Madison and Garrard County. They give it their all to grow a variety of organic produce for CSA
members - the lifeblood their farm.
CSA Season: 20 or 30 week seasons, April-November with several start times to accommodate your
calendar.
Share Options: Small - $19/week, Regular - $27/week. Ask us about flexible payment options.
Pickup/Drop-off Locations: Several local farmers markets, community pick-up sites, and home/office

Rootbound Farm
Ben Abell and Bree Pearsall run Rootbound Farm, a Certified Organic farm in Oldham County, KY. Our
organic certification is very important to us and we prioritize soil health, biodiversity, and growing some
amazingly beautiful and delicious food. Our CSA members receive a wide variety of items throughout
the season, everything from arugula to zucchini! We are best known for our excellent quality organic
lettuces, potatoes, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes. In addition to the seasonal favorites, we also grow
many specialty items including cauliflower, herbs, broccoli, and radicchio. We provide a weekly
newsletter with lots of storage tips and recipe recommendations. We believe being a CSA member
should be fun and rewarding and we enjoy having our members out to the farm for several events
throughout the season.

Share options: Small Share ($20 per week/ $445 season total) is designed to feed single adults or
couples who eat out often. Full Share ($28 per week/$625 season total) is designed to meet all
the veggies needs of a family of 2-4 people, or 2 adults if they are vegetarians and cook often with fresh
vegetables.
*Organic grass-fed lamb is also available as an additional item

Sustainable Harvest Farm
Sustainable Harvest Farm is USDA Certified Organic farm located in Laurel County. They produce
vegetables, fruit, Grass Fed Beef and Pork products and value-added items. Since 2009, the Waterstrats
have continued to look for ways to innovate and expand their farm to provide quality, sustainable and
delicious food for their family and community.
Season:


Teal Tractor CSA
Walnut Lawn Farm is a 6th generation family owned & operated farm located in Fayette County and
serves as the home of Teal Tractor CSA. Our CSA members enjoy bountiful varieties of vegetables, fruits
and herbs as they come into season. We are proud to partner with Weisenberger Mill and Clark Family
Farm to offer mixes, eggs and chicken in addition to our shares.
Season: begin in late May/early June and run through October for 20 weeks.
Share Options: We have produce, egg and chicken shares available. Full and Half Produce Shares are
available between $25/week and $15/week. The chicken and egg shares are priced separately as an addon to either share option. Our Full Share option is a weekly box that is designed to feed a family of two
to four people. It includes a variety of 6-12 items. Our Half Share option is a weekly box that is designed
to feed 1-2 people with similar variety of items.
Pickup/Drop-off Locations: Our pickup locations are based on our share members for that season and
will grow with our 2017 sign ups. Currently we have pickup locations at the Beaumont YMCA, Lexmark
(for employees) and home delivery! We are looking to build more produce partnerships with businesses,
churches and community centers - 10+ signed shares earns a new pickup location.

Triple J Farm
We are a multigenerational farm in Scott County. This will be our 8th year with our CSA program, but we
have been selling direct to customers for 14 years at local markets. Our goal is to provide a variety of
fresh, quality produce throughout the season to our customers, for them to enjoy with family and
friends as they make their shares into delicious meals. In addition to the produce shares, we offer egg
shares from our free range hens.
Season: our season is 18 weeks, starting mid to late May weather depending and going through mid-late
September.
Share options: We offer 2 Share sizes. Our Half Share (most popular) feeds 2-4 and cost $315.00 for the
season. Our Full share feeds 4-6 and cost $590.00 for the season. Egg shares are additional, we offer ½
dozen eggs each week costing $40.00 for the season or 1 dozen eggs for $70.00 for the season.
Pickup/ Drop-Off Locations: We offer pick-ups at any Farmer’s markets that we attend. We do deliver
too many Lexington businesses and some neighborhoods that have a host house. (Ask us to see if your
business already has a delievery) We are adding home deliveries in Georgetown for 2017 (small
additional fee for home delivery). We offer delivery to any business or groups that have at least 5
subscriptions to our CSA; we are always looking to add a new delivery drop! Please contact or ask us
