Having to develop a ?ltration media capable of protecting against potential radioactive contamination and in emergencies for astronauts to produce portable water from urine has given the AQUASPACE unique features for the removal of organicinorganic chemicals, heavy metals and nitrates, herbicides, pesticides and many other contaminants. Physically this ?lter has a pore size of 1 micron but the patented absorption process is such that it easily removes and retains contaminants under half that size.
