Unit 1: Introduction to Arts
Content Standard:
The learner will demonstrate the understanding on the basic concepts, elements, principle,
knowledge, skills, and values necessary for artistic expression and cultural literacy. They will
be exposed on the different Arts of the Philippine Island specifically Luzon, Visayas and
Mindanao.
Performance Standard:
The learner demonstrate basic understanding of the basic concepts of arts, elements and
principle of Arts through performing, creating, listening, observing and responding in the
development of the cultural identity of Filipino in the different provinces in the Philippines.
Performance Task:
Ateneo de Davao University High School is invited by the Office the Mayor of Davao City to
join the celebration of “Kadayawan Arts Festival”. This event is the celebration of Arts and
Culture of Davao City. Each student will become an artist as they will make their own artwork
specifically a painting showing the Filipino Culture specifically Filipino Symbols. The people
of Davao city and invited guest will see their artwork. The painting which they will make will be
assessed by the known artist. They will make sure that their output would be the best and
competitive.

Unit 2: Philippine Arts and Crafts
Content Standard:
The learner will demonstrate art elements and processes by synthesizing and applying prior
knowledge and skills of salient features of the arts of the Philippines (Luzon, Visayas,
Mindanao) by showing the relationship of the elements of art and processes among culturally
diverse communities in the country.
Performance Standard:
The learner will create artworks showing the characteristic elements of the arts of Luzon,
Visayas and Mindanao through exhibit of their completed artworks for appreciation, critiquing
and showcasing.
Performance Task:
The Ateneo de Davao University- School of Arts & Science will sponsor an activity: Philippine
Arts and Crafts. The school is invited to join the said activity to showcase the different
artworks that the Grade 7 Philippine Arts students made. The students will be the artist who
will display their artworks. The whole Ateneo de Davao University will be the audience for the
exhibit to be held in the said campus.

Unit 3: Philippine Festivals and Theatre
Content Standard:
The learner will demonstrate how theatrical elements (sound, music, gesture, movement ,and
costume) affect the creation and communication of meaning in Philippine Festivals and
Theatrical Forms as influenced by history and culture. They will understand that theater and
performance as a synthesis of arts and a significant expression of the celebration of life in
various Philippine communities.
Performance Standard:
The learner will create appropriate festival attire with accessories based on authentic festival
costumes, improvise appropriate sound, music, gesture, movements, and costume for a
chosen theatrical composition and take part in a chosen festival or in a performance in a
theatrical play.
Performance Task:
The Ateneo de Davao High School promotes arts and culture in the school. With this, the
Grade 7 Student is task to present for the AdDU High School Art Festival. The students will
become an actor and actresses in one of the theatre arts ( Zarzuela, Komedya & Senakulo).
The audiences are the students, teachers of AdDU and invited guest. They will present the
Zarzuela, Komedya and Senakulo.They will be assessed with their performance by the whole
community.
