The Board of Governors of the Washington State Bar Association has approved your
application to take the Washington State Bar Examination subject to the receipt of your Law
School Certificate. This certificate has been forwarded to your law school by the Bar
Association. If there is a problem we will contact you. However, this does not mean that
you will be automatically recommended to the Supreme Court for admission to the Bar if you
pass the Bar Examination. The Board reserves the right for further evaluation based on all
factors before full recommendation to the Court.
Please note that the last address you give the Bar Association will be used on all
correspondence. It is your responsibility to notify the Bar of any address change, and our
responsibility ceases when correspondence is directed to your last address as it appears on
our records. Address changes must be submitted in writing to this office with your signature
along with the information that you are a bar examination applicant.
Regarding National Conference Reports: All attorney applicants will be seated
without this report if necessary; however, results will not be available until the report is
received. The request for the report has been made to the National Conference of Bar
Examiners and will be forwarded to this office by NCBE. Action by you, at this time, is
unnecessary.
Results of the Exam
The results of the summer 2006 exam will be placed in the mail on October 6, 2006.
They will be posted on the web site at http://www.wsba.org. by October 9, 2006. You will
have one year from this date of notification to become admitted to the Washington State Bar
Association.

Laptop Use
You must first register with WSBA and ExamSoft and have installed the software
onto your computer to utilize your laptop. Your laptop must have a floppy disk drive.Please
be aware that you are limited to 64 lines or 4963 characters for the Substantive exam and 29
lines or 2349 characters for the Professional Responsibility exam. The examiners are
instructed not to consider answers beyond the set limits. The applicant assumes the
responsibility for any computer equipment left overnight or any equipment failure. Any
