"SAMMY" STORYBOARD TEST
Welcome to "Sammy". Since Sammy has a unique style we would like you
to take a brief storyboard test. Saminy will be a prime time series on NBC.
It is based on characters created by David Spade and Drake Sather. It is
basically a sit-com. What we are primarily looking for in this test is good
acting. Please avoid any cartoon cliches . The acting should not be broad or
pantomimed. Keep it understated and try to be observational. Listen to the
track and if possible try to observe David Spade on his NBC series "Just
Shoot Me" or SNL or his HBO comedy special. The test doesn't really
require alot of cutting or angles, but you do need to solve the problem of
how Sammy "steals the camera" from James. Try to fmish your test with a
fairly clean version of style. Please use the standard notation you would use
on a professional storyboard, indicating page, scene and panel numbers.
Mechanics such as pans and trucks should be properly indicated. Dialogue
should be under the panel where it -is to be used and properly labeled.
Included are models for James Blake, Sammy Blake, Kathy Kelly and some
others that can be used for party guests. We've also included a couple of
BG's for reference.
