It focuses on the verb phrase and related topics from a descriptive perspective. The following topics are to be covered during the semester: tense and aspect, modal auxiliaries, finite and nonfinite clauses, conditional clauses and passive clauses. Grading: The final grade will be based on class participation (10%), a mid-term test (45%) and an end-term test (45%). Students are required to do both the mid-term and the end-term tests on the days scheduled below. Attendance: Students are not allowed to miss more than three classes during the semester.
