News
It’s April 2nd and all I can say is
ROCK CHALK! How bout those
Jayhawks! Who would have guessed
that they would still be playing ball
in April? Not this chick. I had UK
and OSU in the final match up of my
bracket but I will take the loss there to
get another KU game in this season.
Anyway, we are looking forward to a
great game tonight and what a gorgeous evening it will be to sit out on
the patio and watch some basketball
with a couple of cocktails. Look forward to seeing everyone there in just
a couple short hours. We have pasta
on special tonight or if you are not
in the mood for that, give one of our
new entrees a try. Jala and myself will
be behind the bar happily pouring
$2.25 domestic drafts and serving up
an extra sweet smile to Carl and Lee
over in Booth 9. March was a great
month with St. Patrick’s day and all
of the Madness but we have several
events planned for you this month as
well so read on and see you tonight!
80’s Prom Night
Maloneys is planning our first ever
80’s Prom Night. This party will take
place on Friday, April 27th. DJ Sean
will be making his debut appearance at our establishment and will
be rocking the 80’s classics all night
long. Instead of a crown, the king and
queen of the prom (aka the best 80’s
glam couple in the house) will get
$100 cash. We will have pints of our
draft beer of the month on special for
$3.25 and Loopy Boxes for $5. Loopy
boxes are our bomb of the month and
are a must try for anyone who hasn’t
had one yet. They are like a lunch box
but with Fruit Loop flavored vodka
and taste like a yummy breakfast. So
start working on your mullet, practice crimping and feathering your
hair and bust out your puffy sleeve
dress and get ready for this not to be
missed party!
Golf Tournament
We are now accepting team sign ups
for our 4th Annual Golf Tournament.
This awesome and always exciting
event will take place on Friday, May
11th with a 1PM Shotgun start. The
cost is $450 per four person team and
includes golf, cart, range balls, food
and drinks and as always there will
be lots of opportunities to win addi-

tional prizes. All of the proceeds will
benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma
Society and Kent Beyer Candidate for
Man of the Year. He is raising money
in commemoration of 20 years of remission after battling Burkitt Leukemia as a child.

UFC 145
UFC 145 is coming to you live on
PPV at Maloneys on Saturday, April
21st at 9PM. Jones will take on Evans
in the light heavyweight championship bout in the main event. As always we will be showing the preliminaries before the main fight card so
come in early to enjoy a pork chop
and mac & cheese dinner and some
buckets of beer. We will be taking reservations for this event so call us at
913-385-9595 and we will have your
table saved for you.
Letters from the Chef:

“It’s not the size of the burrito, it’s how
you use it”
Well at least that’s what they keep
telling me and technically I’m not
even sure if you can even “use” a burrito. Sure, I “abuse” mine on a daily
basis and by “abuse” I mean prepare
and serve our mini chimichangas.......
you perv. They are Carne Asada

rolled in a flour tortilla and fried so
amazing it would make your grandma proud. Why grandmas? Because
greasy, golden fried, crispy, juicy, salty
everything wouldn’t have blessed our
palates without the g’mas. So what’s
1
the correlation between burritos and plus both of our sauces and believe
chimichangas? Well, thank you for me when I say this...where they might

it’s kind of a Mexican type article or
“papel con palabras” which means
paper with words because I have no
idea how to say article in Spanish.
So you can’t have a chimichanga until you have a burrito and you can’t
have a burrito without breaking a few
eggs. Hmmm, I’m not sure if that’s
how it really goes, but I do know frying a burrito gives you a chimichanga
and burrito means “little donkey” in
Spanish which I do know
is amazingly hilarious.
