DE PERE - St. Norbert College finished in second place at
the St. Norbert Invitational contested at Schneider Stadium.
DE PERE - St. Norbert
College won the invitational
tournament it participated in
for the third consecutive week
as the Green Knights cruised
to the team title of the St.
Norbert Invitational at Schneider Stadium.

Catholic Memorial High School
The Green Knights totaled
131 points, finishing 25 points
back of first-place UW-River
Falls’ 156 points. Milwaukee
School of Engineering was in third place with 118
points.
Sam Holt won the 10,000-meter run with a time of
34:38.33, while Jacob Wittmershaus was second with a
time of 35:56.22.
Randy Hill won both the long jump and triple jump
for St. Norbert. Hill turned in a distance of 22 feet 1 1/2
inches in the long jump, and fashioned a distance of 451/2 in the triple jump.
Hayden Hoffmann was second in the 5,000-meter
run with a time of 16:04.50. Hoffmann added third
place in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:17.61.
Evan Broyles was second in the shot put with a distance of 45-4 1/2 and added a fourth-place showing in
the hammer throw with a distance of 146-2.
Kevin Schlichter was third in the long jump with a
distance of 21-3 1/2, while Andrew Jacobson was fourth
with a distance of 20-9 1/4.
Tommy Zakowski finished third in the 800-meter run
with a time of 2:00.71.
Jack Feuerstein was fourth in the 400-meter hurdles
with a time of 58.37 seconds as well as the 110-meter
hurdles with a time of 15.76 seconds. D.J. DeValk was
fourth in the triple jump at 42-8.
Women’s Track & Field

Erin Artz won both the 1,500- and 5,000-meter
runs. Artz turned in a time of 5:02.06 in the 1,500,
and followed up with a time of 19:12.86 in the 5,000.
Taylor Wenzel was first in the 100-meter hurdles
with a time of 15.30 seconds. Malgorzata Waz took
first place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time
of 12:29.74. Liz LeCaptain won the long jump with
a distance of 18 feet 1/2 inch, while Ashley Berton
claimed the triple jump with a length of 35-9 1/4.
Clarissa Jauregui was first in the 800-meter run
with a time of 2:17.30, while Haley Joosten was second in 2:27.57. St. Norbert won the 4x100-meter
relay with a time of 49.58 seconds. The Green Knights
also took first in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of
4:07.65.
Taylor Miller, Alyssa Price and Charlotte Walsh
finished second, third and fourth, respectively, in the
10,000-meter run. They finished with respective times
of 39:49.34, 40:39.01 and 41:07.58.
Nicole Vanderlin was second in the high jump
clearing a height of 5-2 1/4, while Berton was tied for
third with a height of 5-1/4.
Kyra VandenHeuvel was third in both the long jump
and triple jump. VandenHeuvel had a long jump of 171/2 and posted a triple jump of 35-1. Erin Lang was
third in the 100-meter dash in 12.76 seconds, while
Angel Hon was fourth in 12.80 seconds.
Danielle Harris was third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 13:05.06, and was also third in the javelin
throw with a distance of 92-10. Wenzel placed third in
the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.69.

is a three-year letter-winner on
the Green Knight Track & Field
team specializing in the hurdles.
Wenzel is majoring in Early
Childhood Education.
Q: Why did you choose St. Norbert?
A: I thought the campus was beautiful and it felt
“like home” here.
Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete?
A: Lolo Jones
Q: What was your favorite class(es) taken at
St. Norbert College?
A: Intro to Theology... w/ Bridget Burke-Ravizza. She
was an amazing teacher and I learned a lot in that
class.
Q: Who was your favorite childhood cartoon character?
A: Good question... I’ve got an awful memory. But
my favorite cereal growing up was Fruity Pebbles!
Q: What’s the one movie you must have in your
movie collection?
A: A Walk to Remember
Q: What’s your fondest memory as an SNC athlete?
A: Outdoor Conference my sophomore year. I pr’d by
about 4 seconds total in my 400 hurdles. Other than
that, the excitement Yenter, Boss, and others had for
me when I placed 3rd in the 100 hurdles.
Q: What’s currently hanging from your dorm
room/apartment wall?
A: Past motivational posters from my hurdle buddies... an inspiring poster.. photos of my friends & I
Q: What is your favorite breakfast cereal?
A: Cinnabon
Q: Other than your sporting event, what is your
favorite campus activity?
A: Soakin’ up the sun on the docks... reading, doing
homework, or catching up w/ friends out there
Q: What’s the one word that best
describes your team?
A: Determined
2015 Norby of the Week Awards
The St. Norbert College Women won their third consecutive outdoor meet while the men were a close second at their home invitational on April 18th!
The Green Knights will head to the Private College
Championships next weekend and also send athletes to
the Drake relays as well as the Kip Javrin Open.
