On his famous solo flight across the Atlantic, Charles Lindberg
wore a square and compasses on his jacket as a good luck
piece. He was a mason.
Richard E. Byrd and his pilot Bernt Balchen, both brothers,
dropped Masonic flags over the North and South Poles.
Brother Balchen also tossed his shrine fez on the South Pole.

"It’s those small daily happenings that
makes life so spectacular"
Letter to the Editor
The Master’s Corner
Greetings Brethren,
I will keep this message from the East short and sweet.
As the summer draws to an end I hope that all is well
with everyone. The beginning of the Autumnal season
will soon be with us and the work of the Lodge will
resume in just a few weeks. I could not be prouder of the
work of the officers and the high standards that they
have set in the ritual work done so far this year.
I look forward to seeing you all soon to continue our
great work in introducing fine men to our Brotherhood. I
again ask that all brothers in charge of mentoring
candidates take great care in preparing them for their
rituals. I hope that we have an excellent presentation
when we have our annual inspection. If we perform half
as well as we have thus far we should be in good stead.
I would also like to remind all that we have a special
guest speaker scheduled for our next stated meeting.
The subject of her address is of great importance given
the economic situation that our country and our own
community are experiencing. If you are a business owner
and have employees it is even more important that you
attend this meeting. The message may be very beneficial
to your employees’ financial health. I will not say any
more on this subject, so please attend if at all possible.
Fraternally yours,
Wor. Phil Perez
The following is extracted from a letter to the editor of
“The Cabletow” (Grand Lodge of the Philippines) from J.
Bar-Ner, a Past Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of
Israel:
For the sake of the record, our Grand Lodge was erected
and consecrated by the Grand Lodge of Scotland in the
year 1953 and today members 57 lodges which work in
the following languages.
Hebrew – The language of our Grand Lodge.
English, Arabic, French, German and Romanian.
We are also proud that in our jurisdiction, Brethren of all
creeds, Jew, Gentile, Arab are to be found in the lodges.
Further, in lodges where Brethren (or initiates) are of
different Faiths the holy Books of the three great faiths –
Old Testament, New Testament and the Koran are to be
found on our altars.

Dues cards for 2012 are now
