Thank you for agreeing to represent Southern Development Corporation for your Notary
Public Bond business.
Southern Development was incorporated in 1958 primarily for the purpose of
land subdivision and development. Usually carrying the mortgage on property
sold, a major portion of the corporation's assets was often held in the form of
credit. The corporation has never owed any debt. With a few exceptions a
dividend has been paid to stockholders each year.
In 1989 SDC became Arkansas' No.1 Authorized Notary Bond Service
Corporation when the State of Arkansas authorized it to issue Notary Bonds in
accordance with the Act No. 304 of the 1989 Arkansas General Assembly. There are
about 47,000 active Notaries Public in Arkansas. For over 20 years it has been a
commitment of SDC to provide the Surety Bond required in order for a person to become
a Notary Public at a competitive price through local Independent Agents.

When you have used up the supply of 10 bonds in your starter pack and filled in the table
entitled "LIST BONDS IN ORDER AS THEY ARE USED" on the REGISTER FOR
EXECUTED NOTARY BONDS, you will mail it to me in one of the return envelopes I
have supplied for you. By the time you have used up all but one or two of your bond
supply, I will have sent you a new supply of 10 bonds along with a RECEIPT FOR
BONDS which you will fill out and return to me promptly and another bond register to be
filled out as instructed.
You will be billed for notary bonding is on an account current basis. A statement will be
sent after the end of each calendar month with a transaction detail and net amount due
for the bonds you issued for the month. A net due accounting method is also acceptable
if you prefer to send a check for $20 (the $35 bond premium less your $15 commission)
with each bond you issue.
SDC also offers the notary public supplies your notary bond customers will need. On the
back of this page is a catalog sheet which shows the notary seals, stamps and supplies
we have available.
I look forward to satisfactorily fulfilling all you customers' notary bond requirements. I am
glad to have you on board as an agent for Southern Development Corporation.
