The mission of Salem High School is to offer all students

Each school has developed a school improvement plan through a
collaborative process that involves school leaders, faculty, parents, and
students at levels where that is appropriate. School improvement plans
are developed to align to the district's Accelerated Improvement Plan
and the school's unique data. Priority objectives in the school
improvement plan for the Salem High School include:
training to assess progress of curriculum development in each
departmental area. Assess time needed to meet objective.
Identify and define 3 practices targeting critical thinking skill
development.
2. Build a data-driven system that assesses and supports learning
and improves instructional practices throughout the district.
Launch and refine makeup of a school data team comprised of Head
Teachers and administrators to plan and implement a series of regular
grade level/content team meetings to analyze data and formulate
reteach plans.
The Freshman House:
The Freshman House was created in 2004, as a
Professional Learning Community designed to assist
ninth graders in the transition from middle to high school.
One key component of the House is that freshman
teachers meet regularly to address issues, create
solutions, and build unity among the freshman class.
