5th Annual Birthday Party at the Visitor Center hosted by Betsy
Ross and Termini Bros. Bakery
WHAT:
Join us for a celebration of America’s Birthday hosted by Betsy Ross and Termini
Brothers Bakery at the Independence Visitor Center, 6th and Market Streets.

 A spectacular five-tier cake will be decorated and 2,500 cupcakes displayed
in the shape of an American flag at the Visitor Center throughout the morning
starting at 9:00 a.m. prior to the birthday celebration on Monday, July 4 at 1:00
p.m.
WHEN:

When decoration of the cake is complete at 1:00 p.m., Betsy Ross will lead the
crowd in singing “Happy Birthday” accompanied by a fife and drum and
cut the cake to celebrate our nation’s 240th birthday. Termini Bros. Bakery
and Visitor Center staff will then give away the cake and cupcakes to the public
for FREE.

Attendees to this event will experience what makes Termini Bros. Bakery a local
icon and one-of-a-kind bakery. All are invited to take photos with the cake display
and Termini staff prior to 1:00 p.m. Termini staff will be available for
interviews.

Independence Mall and the Visitor Center will be buzzing with locals and visitors
enjoying free pastry and looking forward to being part of additional festivities in
Historic Philadelphia to celebrate Independence Day. Media are encouraged to
interview visitors in the Visitor Center and those lined up for cake on
Independence Mall.
