Home Away From Home for 20 Years:
Please mark your calendars for the 20th anniversary of
Saint Luke’s Children’s Center. On Thursday, August
27th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm we will be having a
celebration of 20 years of ministry to children and their
families. There are some ways you can help. First –
come join the fun. Second – if you have pictures of the
Children’s Center please bring them in. If they are digital
send them to Jessica at [email protected]. If they need
to be scanned please bring them and put them in the
basket on Deaconess Kathy’s desk (be sure and put your
name on the back). The due date is June 30th. Third – we
are looking for a couple people who would be willing to
do face painting. Watch the weekly for more details.

Lunches for Learning: “Breaking the Cycle of
Poverty in Rural Honduras” – one of our
partner ministries:
* Lunches for Learning is an independent charitable
organization which works with governmental agencies,
faith based organizations, corporations and individual
sponsors. Its only agenda is to feed the children and
keep them in school!
* Lunches for Learning does not give handouts.
Participation requires a commitment from the local
Hounduran community. Parents must pledge to support
the program by preparing and serving the lunches
provided by Lunches for Learning.
*Lunches for Learning is entirely staffed by volunteers
in the U.S.
*The cost for 1 child for the school year is $150; for 10
children - $1,500. The sponsorship for small, medium
and large schools and other programs are also available.
