Muscles Needed
We are really pleased to announce that we are getting another
polytunnel for the school grounds, and we were wondering please,
please, really pretty please if anyone is able to help us put it all
together? At the moment we don’t have a definite date but it will be in
the next couple of months. It would involve digging out the area where
the polytunnel is going and then putting the framework of the tunnel
together. Many hands make light work as they say so if you are able to
help with any of the above we would be really grateful - you never know,
Mr Wildman may even buy a packet of biscuits to share round!!! Please
email us at [email protected] with your name and contact
number if you’d like to offer your muscle (not mussels)!! Thank you.
Baby Number Three
We are pleased to announce that Mrs Wareham is expecting a baby
making the total number of Wicor babies on their
way - 3. We are sure this is what happened last time
- 3 in one hit - must be something in the water!!
Community Safety
We are very open at Wicor to additional ways of ensuring the safety of all members
of our community. Despite numerous polite requests we are still getting cars driving
on the school grounds when they are not supposed to, and driving much to fast even
when the children are around. There is a 5mph speed limit on site which should be
observed at all times of the day. Therefore the main gates to the school will now be
closed on a regular basis and cars entering the grounds will be monitored. The only
cars that will be allowed to enter the school grounds are parents or carers who may
be disabled themselves, or who are dropping off a child with disabilities, and families
collecting or returning the guinea pig for the weekend or school holidays. These
parents and carers must register their details at the school office. In addition to
this, from Monday, we are also requesting that if you are allowed on site you aim to
be here at least 10 minutes before you need to be i.e. by 8.50am or 3.20pm. You will
then need to remain on site until all our pedestrians, whether children or adults, have
left the site. Please do not attempt to drive offsite until it is all clear. Priority
must be given to those members of our community on foot.
5MPH and that’s it!!
We also still have some cars that come on site to drop their children off at
breakfast club who are speeding up the driveway. Due to our CCTV system we do
know who you are, so we are putting out a polite request to ask ALL parents to obey
the 5MPH speed limit. If we find that these parents are not doing as we have
requested, they will no longer be allowed to come on to the site.
IT’S A SNAIL PACE!!
