Thank you for your support! Please save your Box Tops and Labels for Education. An easy DLE fundraiser! In the art room this year, we have gone under the sea to live in the “OCEAN”. We will be creating art that captures our ocean theme and studying artists who were also captivated by the mysteries of the ocean. For our first week whole school project, each child created a “unique fish” which is now swimming in a school of fish around our room. Students were so excited to find their unique fish. Next, we will be creating octopuses, turtles, and “surprise” fish among other sea creatures. Kindergarten students will be learning how to cooperate with one another in “art centers” Think – “herding cats”! And all grade levels will be creating individual and group projects related to our ocean theme for the months to come. Please ask your children to share what they are learning and making and share what you know with them. I may also be asking for materials from home upon occasion and first up is EGG CARTONS. The cardboard or Styrofoam ones are both fine. If there are any parents out there who work in a restaurant with the larger flats, those would be great too. Also, the small black oval trays that Lean Cuisines or similar foods are served in make great paint trays so those are welcome and appreciated too. I look forward to a fabulous creative year with your children. - Mrs. Field, Art Teacher PEANUT BUTTER AND TOILET PAPER DRIVE September 88-19 All donations benefit the Jewish Federation’s Jerry Doliner Food Bank.
