Drew Ducatelli
December 26, 1995 - September 17, 2012
Drew ascended to Heaven to watch over all of us after a courageous and inspiring 18 month battle with cancer. Drew passed
away in peace surrounded by his family. Drew was deeply loved by his family and everyone who knew him. His passing has
had a significant impact on his extended family, friends and the community. Born a Texan, he lived in McKinney, Texas for nine
years and then moved to Tampa, Florida for five years where he attended Berkeley Preparatory School prior to returning to
Texas where he attended Southlake Carroll High school.
Drew maintained unconditional love for his family and friends and was widely known for putting the needs or problems of
others as priorities in front of his own, even when his personal challenges were at their worst. Drew’s inner strength and
tenacity in fighting whatever obstacles were put in front of him were an inspiration to all. Drew possessed a unique
understanding of the fragility as well as the value of life, and lived every day to its fullest, always with a smile to share with
others regardless of the situation. Drew maintained his unwavering support of the Washington Redskins and Texas A&M
where he was destined to attend college with the intent to focus in the medical field where he could use his personal
experiences to be more compassionate, impactful and effective to victims of childhood disease.
Throughout his life he had a passion for spending time with friends, playing football, hunting with his father and brother, driving
his lifted F-150 and loved to get involved with anything that involved technology. Drew was a member of the Berkeley and
Southlake Carroll football teams.
Mere words cannot express the joy and love Drew brought to our family and his friends that will remain in our hearts for eternity
until we see him again.
Drew is survived by his parents, Tom and Kristen Ducatelli of Westlake, Texas; brother, Alex Ducatelli of Westlake, Texas;
grandparents, Jim and Bea Ducatelli, Bill and Joanne Fletcher, all of McKinney, Texas; great-grandmother, Marcy Manuel of
Salinas, California; many other loving family members and friends.
A mass with a celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Good Shepherd Catholic
Community Church, 1000 Tinker Road, Colleyville, Texas 76034. To convey condolences or to sign an online registry, please

In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make deductible donations to the Drew Ducatelli Memorial Scholarship Fund.
P.O. Box 93598 Southlake, Texas 76092. A scholarship fund is being set up by the family in Drew’s name at Southlake Carroll
High School to award each year to a Southlake Carroll graduating senior that demonstrates the courage, friendship,
community impact, commitment to education and Dragon fighting spirit Drew was known for.

Dear Jim, Bea, and Family, No words can soothe your pain away in the loss of
your beloved Drew, but, nothing that is loved is ever lost. No one who has
touched a life, who has brought so much beauty and joy to the world, is ever
gone. The lord will walk beside you through these days of sorrow just as
through the years he has walked with you in the days of joy. May you find new
hope and strength in his love and comfort in the thoughts and prayers of those
who care about you. May the good lord surround you with his loving presence,
guide each step of the road ahead, and by his grace grant the faith that brings
peace of mind and heart and the hope that washes all sadness away today and
in the days to come. May the wonderful memories of Drew’s precious eighteen
years of life in your presence live on in your hearts forever. Our love and
prayers, Mary and the Hall family
