Dementia Evaluation Clinic
The Dementia Evaluation Clinic is staffed by
physicians who are board certified in both
Neurology and Psychiatry, as well as social
workers who can help with social supports and
referrals.
The clinic provides diagnosis and
ongoing treatment of illness that include cognitive
impairment, including Alzheimer’s disease,
Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury and
stroke. The clinic is a collaborative effort with the
Department of Neurology.

Autism Clinic Program
The Adult Psychiatry Clinic provides diagnosis
and treatment of a wide variety of psychiatry
disorders. Our providers are academic faculty
members at Robert Wood Johnson Medical
School and are involved in cutting edge research
in diagnosis and treatment and are committed
to improving mental and emotional health by
providing outstanding outpatient services. Our
psychiatrists and psychologists can also provide
expert consultations and second opinions for
individuals and their caregivers. A full range of
psychological therapies, including cognitive
behavioral therapy, biofeedback, supportive
therapy and insight oriented therapy are
available. Sophisticated psychopharmacology
approaches are also offered and tailored to the
individual's situation. Specialty areas include
management of bipolar disorder and conditions
associated with Parkinson’s disease and
epilepsy.
The Child & Adolescent Psychopharmacology Clinic
provides
psychiatric
evaluations
for
the
pharmacologic management of childhood mental
disorders including, but not limited to, attention
deficit/ hyperactivity disorder, depression, anxiety
and other behavioral problems. The Clinic accepts
referrals from other physicians and mental health
professionals for the consultation and/or joint
management of cases. Fellows and residents in
training provide care under the direct supervision of
the attending physician/faculty member.
Autism is a complex neurological disorder that
affects the way a person thinks, behaves,
communicates and interacts with others. The
Autism Center provides assessment, diagnosis,
treatment and support for autism spectrum
disorders. We offer a range of mental health
services for children and young adults. The
Autism Clinic has expertise in treating the
behavioral symptoms of autism spectrum
disorders. Participating in cutting edge
research through clinical treatment trials is
possible.

Addiction Program
The Addiction Psychiatry Clinic offers a full range
of services including evaluation, diagnosis, and
treatment of adults who are suffering from one
or more disorders related to addiction. This may
include disorders involving alcohol and legal and
illegal drugs, including tobacco. We also have
expertise in individuals with co-occurring mental
illnesses and addictions. Sophisticated psychopharmacology approaches including naltrexone
and buprenorphine (Suboxone) are offered as
part of an overall approach to treating
addictions. Specialized counseling for addictions
is also available.

The Huntington’s Disease Program is designed to
meet the special medical, psychiatric, genetic
counseling and case management needs of patients
and families with Huntington's disease. The Program
is supported by the New Jersey Department of
Health and Senior Services. Individual, family and
group counseling is available, and regional support
groups are sponsored by the Program's
staff.
Services included diagnosis, genetic
counseling and testing, assessment and treatment,
family and professional education and includes
access to both psychiatrists and neurologists.
