Post-Its from Pam
I hope that you have been enjoying these
long, warm days as much as I. This time of
year the fields are so beautifully laden with
their bounty and the sun seems to linger a
little longer on the horizon with its brilliant
hues as it kisses the day goodbye. Ah,
summer—I do love you!
Our June trip to Colorado Springs was
fantastic. Beautiful scenery, interesting
history and American pride! I always feel
so blessed when I observe how kind and
helpful everyone is to each other as we
become “one big family” during our tour
time together. What can I say, Excursions
travelers are the best!
This newsletter contains information on
several new trips, from one-day trips to see
The Lettermen and The Music Man to longer
excursions to the Pacific Coast and even
cruising around Cape Horn! Maui details
are included as well. Please put in your
reservation(s) soon to join us for the trip(s) of
your choice, as space often fills up quickly.
Mark Twain once said, “Travel is fatal to
prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.”
On one hand, when I hear of a country I
can’t even place on a map, or experience a
custom completely alien to me, travel makes
me realize how huge the world really is. On
the other hand, travel also makes the world
seem much smaller, as we interact with
people from all over the globe and see that
our similarities far outweigh our differences.
Travel indeed helps us understand the world
better by seeing situations through a lens of
less judgement and more empathy. That’s a
wonderful souvenir!
Until next time, I wish you health and
happiness,

Cape Horn Route to Rio Cruise
on the Emerald Princess
January of 2018
Even though this trip is still 1 ½ years away, this news is too good not to share! We have reserved
a block of cabins on Princess Cruises’ 14-Day “Cape Horn Route To Rio” cruise, leaving from Rio
De Janeiro and ending in Santiago, Chili. It will still be several months before we can confirm our
air reservations and quote a tour price, but WOW, this is one incredible itinerary! We’ll sail from
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to Montevideo, Uruguay to Buenos Aires, Argentina to the Falkland Islands,
with scenic cruising through Cape Horn. Then it’s on to Tierra del Fuego and Punta Arenas, Chile,
finally ending in Santiago, Chile, with several sea days interspersed into the itinerary. We will
have a night or two in a hotel in Rio, plus include a pre-cruise tour of Rio and post-cruise tour of
Santiago. A great tour for discovering many of South America’s fascinating sights!

to skip town with the cash are foiled
when he falls for Marian the librarian,
who transforms him into a respectable
citizen by curtain’s fall.
The Lettermen have over 50 albums
to their credit – nine certified gold as
well as myriad hits including” “When
I Fall In Love,” “Put Your Head On My
Shoulder,” “Goin’ Out Of My Head,”

louder than words!
