Colleen Barba: You night get
a turkey at the market. Bake it in
the oven at 60 degrees for 25 mmutes. It me done when it turns more
brownmsh. Sprinkle sugar on it
and serve ii with sali and ham. IL
ms yummy.
Lauren
Call: I would
get the turkey
in the woods
and take it
home
and
cook it in the
oven. Cook it
at 10 degrees
for 20 mmutes. Put flour and garlic on it. I
would invite Great Grandma,
Nana, and Papa, and also eat
apple pie and pumpkin pie.
Alyssa Smurda: My mom
would buy a turkey at the store
and put it in the oven at 90
degrees. She takes the turkey out
for a break when it’s ready. She
takes the juice from the pan and
puts it on the turkey. Then dad
eats it in the bedroom watching
football. I eat with my sisters and
mom and we also have com on the
cob, peas, mashed potatoes and
gravy.
Spencer Monte: My dad gets
a turkey from the store and cooks
it in the stove. He put~sgarlic and
cinnamon and gravy on it. He
cooks it at 30 degrees for 15 minutes. We serve it with corn and
the whole family eats it.
Brenden Szalai; Buy a live
turkey from the store then you
cook it in the microwave and the
stove. Cook it at 39 degrees for 5
minutes then put the bones in it.
Then you eat it with a fork or a
spoon. We also have potatoes,
macaroni, juice and jewels to give
to my mom.
Grant Gardiner: Go out and
shoot a turkey. Cook it on the
grill for 20 minutes. Sprinkle it
with cinnamon and rub it in.
Serve it with meat, potatoes,
maybe carrots and a glass of milk.
Grandma comes oven
Jacob Stewart: I would get
the turkey at the store. Put sauce
on it and cook it at 10 degrees for
25 minutes. Take it out of the
oven and eat it with lobster, pickles and juice. After dinner I play
video games and have dessert and
maybe have a sandwich.
Julianna Noriega: My mom,
grandma, aunt and I get the turkey
at Costco. We put butter on it and
cook it at 92 degrees for 3 minutes My grandma makes a hole
in the turkey’s neck area and lets it
cool off, Then she puts it on the
table and we eat it. We usually
have tWo turkeys and milk and
syrup and pancakes.
Rachel DeBrincat: You buy it
at the store. You could season it,
but don’t put too much because it
would taste too spicy. Putit in the
oven for half an hour I like my
turkey crispy. It’s done when the
timer goes off. Then put it on a
plate to cool. When the people
get there you cut the turkey pieces
off the bones. Cook potatoes in a
pot and when they are cooked hit
them hard with a sponn and you
get mashed potatoes. I like to eat
corn mixed in my mashed potatoes.
Jessica Jowett: I would buy a
turkey at the store, take it home
and put it in the oven at 90
degrees for about 20 minutes.
Then I would use a sucker thing to
suck up the juices from the bottom of the pot and put it on top of
the turkey. Put it back in the oven
for another 20 minutes then it’s
done. Take it out, put it on a plate
and take it to the table. Make
mashed potatoes and then
Grammy cuts up the turkey and
we eat it.
Megan Mieske: Grandma buys
a turkey. I would cook it for 10
seconds in the oven. The oven
should be very hot. Put some salt
on it and then it’s done. We eat
red jello and eggs stuffed with.
greenish polka-dotted stuff with
our turkey. I tried the eggs once
and I liked them a little. Jessie,
Libby and Zachary Mieske love
those stuffed eggs.
Jacob Demeter: We have to get
a turkey from the store. Put some
grease on the turkey and stuff it
with mashed potatoes. Then I
would put it in a really hot stove
for about two minutes. When the
timer goes off, it’s done. So take
it out of the oven. Put it on a plate
and then eat it. My mom likes
corn on the cob so we should
make that too.
Connor Depnian: I would get
a turkey from Farmer Jack. Then
I would put barbecue sauce on it
and put it in the oven. It should be
hot, about 70 degrees and cook it
for 10 minutes. Check the temperature of the turkey with the
pokey thing that will tell how hot
it is. When it says 5 it is done.
Take it out of the oven and have
my dad cut up the turkey and then
we it.
Calla Sember: Me and my dad
will get a turkey from the woods.
Then we gut it. Then we bring it
inside and take all the feathers off.
Stuff it with spice and put it in the
oven and cook it until 3 o’clock.
Take the turkey out of the oven
and put a cherry on top. Alex will
get the cherry this year, but next
year it will be my turn.
Sydney Carmack: Get a
turkey at the store. Put the turkey
on the pan and put some pepper
on it. Put it in the oven at 20
degrees for 20 minutes. Take it
out when the oven beeps. Bring it
to the table. My Grandma cuts the
turkey and puts some on everybody’s plate. We eat it with
mashed potatoes and broccoli.
We all have ice cream for dessert.
My dad likes chocolate but I like
vanilla with sprinkles.
Bradley Miller: We would buy
a turkey already cut up and place
it in a white pot. And we would
place some juice on it, Then we
would have a lot of family,
cousins and friends come over.
We would cook the turkey unul
it’s done, checking it every 10
minutes. We would cut the turkey
open to check if it’s done, and
place it back in the oven if it’s not
done. When the turkey is done,
we rake the leaves up and jump in
them. When my mom yells, me,
my cousins and friends eat. Then
if we get done early we play with
my big green ball. Then we
would ride bikes if they brought
their bikes, and rake the leaves
again tojump in them.
Kana Shinoda: I call some
friends. My mom, my dad and me
make some turkeys. We get some
things like butter and sugar. We
put them on top of the turkeys and
then my mom bakes them in the
pot for I think 50 minutes. The
turkeys are done when the timer
goes to zero. Then we put the
turkeys nut in a big thing and eat
them. We eat the turkey with a
fork and knife. We make an
Indian shirt because it’s
Thanksgiving. My mom puts
some music on so me and my
friends can act.
Rachel Wheeler: First mom
and dad go to the store to boy the
turkey. Then we bake it in the
oven for a few hours at 100
degrees with spices. We take it
nut of the oven. We set it on the
table with gnurds as decorations
and we eat it. We eat it with corn,
Pringles and the kids eat chicken
nuggets because we don’t like
turkey. We eat ice cream for
dessert and the adults eat pie. My
favorite thing about Thanksgiving
is the dinner.
Morgan Nieto: My favorite
thing about Thanksgiving is eating because there is so much food.
We eat turkey, some chicken and
cookies. To make a turkey 1
would need to buy one and place
it in a pan. Then I would cook it
at 20 degrees for 30 minutes.
When it IS ddne’~btget’tlie t4ble
ready and put it on a plate. Some
people come over to celebrate
with it. My grandma, grandpa
and some cousins would come
oven With the turkey we would
eat brownies and chips. My
cousins will play some fun things
downstairs in the basement before
dinner.
Jacob
Young:
I
like
Thanksgiving because you make
hearts for cards. To make a turkey
I would put it on a pan in the oven
at 30 degraes for 20 minutes.
When it is done you take it out of
the oven and put it on the table.
We eat potatoes, bread and cookies. Grandma and grandpa come
to dinner with us. I will play with
one cousin and we play with our
baby cousin.
Joshua Travis: You get a
turkey from a store like Meijers.
Get the fishing bone out and some
of the juice out too. Then you
bake it in the oven at 200 degrees
for 2 hours. We got a little thing
that goes on the turkey and it
beeps when it’s done and it beeps
long enough for us to get it out of
the stove. You cut the inside first
then put it out. We have spicy
sauce on it. We like eggs, potatoes, and sausage sometimes too.
We have more family come over
to have dinner with us. It’s when
we all get together and it’s fu&
Mrs. Boutette’s first grade class at Dolsen Elementary School came up with creative ideas for cooking a turkey.
