Pennsylvania Company Uses MobileCamViewer to Remotely Monitor Car and Pet
Service Businesses
Leading video surveillance and remote monitoring company mobiDEOS Inc. announces
that River Valley LLC in western Pennsylvania has upgraded its business security
solution with MobileCamViewer. The mobile surveillance solution helps business owners
respond intelligently to situations and quickly address issues that affect customer
revenue. River Valley LLC comprises four quick-service/ self-service businesses:
Cranberry 10 Minute Oil Change, Cranberry Car Wash, Cranberry Pet Wash and Erie 10
Minute Oil Change. Most are open 24 hours and often unmanned, particularly at night.
The company is among the growing number of commercial businesses using mobile
surveillance to monitor activities while at home or on the road.
Business owners Joe Lehosky and Dan Klapec connect the MobileCamViewer application
to a variety of security cameras at all four locations, along with Dedicated Micros BX2
DVRs. Typically they use the application to monitor general business activity,
communicate with customers and respond to issues, although mobile surveillance now
comprises part of a larger security solution with various burglar and fire alarms.
"MobileCamViewer lets me pull up my cameras or servers and see what is going on at our
locations," Klapec said. "I am looking at live video of the facility within seconds of
getting paged or called."
Jazz Car Wash & Detailing Will Reduce Water Usage by 80% with New System
Ever since Keith Taylor, owner of Jazz Car Wash & Detailing in Littleton, Colorado,
purchased founded Jazz Car Wash & Detailing, he has pursued turning his establishment
into an eco-friendly wash, setting an example for his industry and helping reduce natural
resource consumption along the way. As of January 28, 2012, Jazz Car Wash is now
reducing its fresh water usage by 80% using a water reclamation system in its
automated car wash tunnel. This system will recycle all the water used to clean the
vehicle. This advanced system uses the latest technologies to produce clean water,
ready for re-use. The newly cleaned water is just as effective as fresh water at
cleaning vehicles, yet reduces waste.
Fresh water is still used in the final rinses and cleaning solution applications. "We've
always used eco-friendly wash products where possible, and worked to reduce overall
power consumption and this is the final step in making sure we are as environmentally
responsible as possible," said owner Keith Taylor. Few people are aware that taking their
cars to a car wash is often more environmentally friendly than washing their vehicles at
home. Jazz ensures any wastewater does not run off into rivers and streams, and they
strive to use products that are environmentally responsible whenever possible.
"Denver Water has proven to be a tremendous ally in helping us with this undertaking,
we could not have completed this on our timeline without their support and the support
of Xcel Energy, and Centennial Bank" said Taylor.
