IMPORTANT INFORMATION
INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
Oral Presenters
• Oral presentation slots will be 20 minutes long (including a 15 minute presentation and 5 minutes for
questions).
• For presentations before the lunch session, the presentations must be loaded onto the PC in the
allocated session room the evening before or prior to the morning plenary session.
• For presentations after the lunch session, the presentations must be loaded onto the PC in the
allocated session room during lunch time at the latest.
• The presentations should be in Powerpoint or PDF format and compatible with Windows based PC.
We cannot guarantee other formats and operating systems.
Poster Presenters
• The maximum size of a poster should be A0 (841mm × 1189mm or 33.11" × 46.81") in portrait format.
• The material required to attach the posters onto the panels will be provided by the conference
organisers.
• The poster sessions will be held in the M Floor Foyer of the Divani Caravel Hotel.

• Each author will be allocated a two day session for their poster: either Tuesday 20 March and

Wednesday 21 March (Poster session 1) or Thursday 22 March and Friday 23 March (Poster
session 2).
• Your poster session is shown in the poster programme under “poster number”. “S” denotes your
poster session and “P” denotes your poster board. For example, “S1-P11” indicates you are in poster
session 1 (displayed on Tuesday and Wednesday) on poster board 11.
• For POSTER SESSION 1, please display your posters on your allocated board by Monday evening or
Tuesday morning by the start of the sessions. Please ensure your poster is taken down by Wednesday
evening.
• For POSTER SESSION 2, please display your poster on your allocated board by Wednesday evening or
Thursday morning by the start of the sessions.

INTERNET CONNECTIONS:
Connect to the free wifi network "Caravel Conference" to access the internet in the conference rooms and
communal areas of the hotel, there will be no password for this network. Please note that if you are staying at
the Divani Caravel Hotel and require internet access in your room, this can be organised with the hotel at an
additional charge.

Electronic equipment adaptors
Greece has European standard electrical sockets. Most of the rounded two pin plugs should work in Greece,
however please make your own arrangements for appropriate adaptors.
Athens Touristic information
Athens touristic information/material will be provided in the conference registration bag. Additional material
may also be available with the Divani Caravel hotel.
Weather
At this time of the year, you may expect sunny days with maximum temperature reaching around 15-20°C and
minimum around 5-10°C.
