Materials for Flowers:
Materials for Flower Pot:
Cans - i.e. tuna fish, cat food or blueberries
from muffin mixes
Styrofoam to fit can
Fabric scraps, contact paper or spray paint
Dried moss
Directions for Flower Pot:
1. Cover the can with fabric, contact paper or
spray paint. Allow to dry.
2. Glue Styrofoam into can. Allow to dry.
3. Add flowers from below or use dried flowers.
4. Cover Styrofoam with moss.

Green chenille stems
Construction paper
Paper cup cake liners
Paper candy cups
Yellow paper plates
Twigs
Q-tips
Cotton balls
Brown Pom-poms
Acrylic craft paint
Paint brushes
Tacky glue
To Make Flowers

1. Cut petals from a yellow plate
by cutting wedges from the
plate leaving a center circle.
OR
Cut petals from yellow construction paper.
Glue to a cardboard circle in staggered
layers.
Glue brown pom-poms into center.
Glue chenille stem to back of flower.
Cut leaves from green construction paper.
Poke a hole in one end of each leaf.
Thread leaves onto pipe cleaner.
Layered Flower
1. Slightly flatten a cupcake liner.
2. Children may color this if they wish.
3. Glue small candy cup into the center
of cupcake liner.
4. Children may add "pollen" to center of the
flower with markers
5. Gently poke a green chenille stem
through the center. Bend end over.
6. Cut leaves from green construction paper
or fold chenille stem to form leaves.
Pussy Willow
Buttercup pattern/ cut 2
1. Glue oval-shaped pieces of cotton
or snipped Q-tips to twig.

1. Cut two shapes from the pattern on this
page for each flower.
2. Glue one shape on top of the other.
3. Gently fold the top pattern's petals upward.
4. Poke green chenille stem through the
center. Bend end over.
5. Cut leaves from green construction paper.
Poke a hole in one end of each leaf. Thread
leaves onto pipe cleaner.
Tulip
1. Cut an egg carton cup into a flower.
2. Paint. Allow to dry.
3. For stem, insert a pipe cleaner
through bottom of cup.
4. Cut green construction paper leaves.
Poke a hole in one end of each leaf.
Thread leaves onto pipe cleaner.
