........................................................................................................... 113 x FTR System – Market User Interface XML Reference MISO 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 OVERVIEW Through the Market User Interface of the FTR System, the Market Participant has access to a wealth of information about the data in the FTR System. The information can be classified under two broad categories: (a) Public data and (b) Private data. This data is available to Market Participants in two formats - Comma Separated Variables (CSV) and Extensible Markup Language (XML). This document serves as a reference to the XML formatted files within the FTR system. To clarify, this document describes the appropriate XML schema and appropriate software for the upload/download of public/private data using files. There is no programmatic API capability within the FTR system for handling XML based communication with Market Participant systems. 1.2 PUBLIC DATA In the Market User Interface, data that is common to all Market Participants is grouped under the umbrella of Public Data. Under the current scheme of logging into the MISO portal, all participants are able to download exactly the same information through the Public Data downloads. This data is classified into the following five broad categories – General data, Network data, Market data, Market Result data and Historical data. This document will describe the XML formats for all data items with the sole exception of the Network Model. The network model will be available in PSS/E™ 26 format, thus recognizable and usable by many analysis tools. 1.3 PRIVATE DATA Sensitive data that is confidential to a particular Market Participant will be available under the Private Data tab in the FTR System. This data is classified into two categories – General data and Market Result data. 1.4 DOCUMENT STRUCTURE Each of the following sections describes the various files available in XML format. The details of the files are elaborated using three sub-sections: File Description - The contents of the file. Schema Description - The details of the XML fields used in this file. Schema Definition - The precise XML schema used to define the data. Section 2 describes the Public data – General data downloads. Section 3 describes the Public data – Network data downloads. Section 4 describes the Public data – Market data downloads. Section 5 describes the Public data – Market Result data downloads. Section 6 describes the Public data – Historical data downloads. Section 7 describes the Private data – General data downloads Section 8 describes the Private data – Market Result data downloads © Nexant, Inc. Page 1 MISO FTR System – Market User Interface XML Reference Section 9 describes the Bid Portfolio data. This section also describes the SOAP 1.1 implementation for the upload of bid portfolio data. Appendix A provides some examples of the various xml files that can be downloaded from the FTR System. © Nexant, Inc. As mentioned earlier, the network model will be available as two PSS/E 26 format files (representing the peak and off-peak cases) and will not be converted to XML format. For an allocation, the following sets of information will be accessible: Binding constraints (for a stage of a seasonal allocation) Sensitivities of binding constraints to loop flow FTRs (for a stage of a seasonal allocation) For an auction, the following sets of information will be available : Auction results Binding constraints Sensitivities of binding constraints with respect to loopflow FTRs Source/Sink clearing prices Flowgate clearing prices The auction downloads are available for each round of the seasonal auction or the one round of a monthly auction. Each of these objects is described in the following sections. 5.2 ALLOCATION BINDING CONSTRAINTS 5.2.1 File Description This file contains details of the binding constraints in an ARR allocation for each stage of a seasonal allocation. This specification is valid for seasonal allocations. Specifically, this section outlines the following data objects: Allocation Allocation results (for each Stage of a seasonal allocation) Sensitivities of binding constraints to candidate ARRs (seasonal allocation) Infeasible ARRs (only in Restoration Stage of a seasonal allocation) Auction Auction results (seasonal and monthly) Sensitivities of binding constraints to FTR bids (seasonal and monthly auction) Sensivities of binding constraints to self-scheduled ARRs (seasonal auction) Each of these objects is described in the following sections. 8.2 ALLOCATION RESULTS 8.2.1 File Description This file contains the details of the ARRs allocated to the specific Market Participant in the multi-stage ARR seasonal allocation. The essential details of curtailed ARRs – asset owner, source and sink names, start and end dates, nominated/allocated MW amounts and stage are provided. The SOAP wrapped file is expected to conform to the following specification: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope"> <env:Header> </env:Header> <env:Body> <!-- xml file contents would go here! --> </env:Body> © Nexant, Inc. Page 75 MISO FTR System – Market User Interface XML Reference </env:Envelope> While the current version of the FTR System does not support a programmatic interface, adoption of the SOAP 1.1 protocol paves the way for a future implementation of this feature. The current version of the FTR system will automatically extract the body of the XML file when a SOAP wrapper is present and utilize its contents. © Nexant, Inc. It consists of information that is confidential to a particular Market Participant and thus not accessible by others. Specifically, this section outlines the following data objects: RSP Allocation Results (for each round of a RSP Allocation) Binding Constraint (for each round of an RSP Allocation) Each of these objects is described in the following section. 11.2 RSP RESULTS 11.2.1 File Description This file contains the details of the RSPs allocated to the specific Market Participant in the multi-round ARR seasonal allocation. The essential details of curtailed ARRs – asset owner, source and sink names, start and end dates, requested/allocated MW amounts and stage are provided. This download is part of the seasonal allocation only and is applicable to all stages.
