I n exercise of t h e p o w e r s vested in t h e m b y t h e Summer Resorts
(Development) Law, 1938, t h e Summer Resort Development Board of
K a n t a r a hereby m a k e t h e following bye­laws :—
1. These bye­laws m a y b e cited as the Summer Resort Development
( K a n t a r a ) (Amendment) B y e ­ l a w s , 1942, a n d shall b e read as one with
t h e Public H ealth ( K a n t a r a ) Bye­laws, 1935, (hereinafter referred to as
" t h e principal Bye­laws " ) , a n d t h e principal Bye­laws and these
bye­laws m a y together b e cited as the Summer R e s o r t Development
( K a n t a r a ) Bye­laws, 1935 a n d 1942.
2 . Sub­paragraph (6) of p a r a g r a p h (1) of bye­law 4G of the principal
Bye­laws is hereby repealed a n d t h e following sub­paragraph substituted
therefor :—
" (b) a fee n o t exceeding £1 for houses a n d n o t exceeding £3 for
hotels as m a y be fixed b y t h e Board from t i m e to time."
3 . Sub­paragraphs (a) a n d (b) of paragraph (1) of bye­law 57 of the
principal Bye­laws are h e r e b y repealed a n d t h e following paragraphs
s u b s t i t u t e d therefor, respectively :—
"A fee on t h e e s t i m a t e d expenditure

4 . Bye­law 58 of t h e p r i n c i p a l Bye­laws is h e r e b y repealed and the
following substituted t h e r e f o r :—
" 58.—(1) E v e r y o w n e r or occupier of a house within the area of
t h e Summer Resort w h i c h is occupied during a n y p a r t of the season
shall p a y such a fee n o t exceeding £2 as m a y be fixed by the Board
from time to time.
(2) I n addition t o t h e fees above mentioned t h e r e shall be paid
b y every owner or lessee of a n y premises used as a hotel or lodging
house, a fee of 2p. per n i g h t for every person of o v e r ten years of age
s t a y i n g or residing a t s u c h hotel for a period n o t exceeding 7 days.
F o r any, stay exceeding 7 d a y s in d u r a t i o n t h e fee shall be lp.

6. Bye­law 61 of t h e principal Bye­laws is hereby deleted a n d t h e
following substituted therefor :—
" 61. Every p e r s o n hawking within t h e area of the Summer R e s o r t
shall pay the following fees, t h a t is t o s a y :—
(a) Drapery a n d other articles :—
For h a w k i n g drapery, lace a n d o t h e r articles or things,

7. Bye­law 68 of t h e principal Bye­laws is h e r e b y amended as follows : ­
(a) by the deletion of t h e figure " £1 " i n paragraph (1) (a) thereof
and the s u b s t i t u t i o n therefor of t h e figure " £2 " ;
(b) by the deletion of t h e figure " £2 " in paragraph (2) thereof
and the s u b s t i t u t i o n therefor of t h e figure " £4 ".

rations Laws, 1930 a n d 1942 and otherwise, t h e Council of the Municipal
Corporation of F a m a g u s t a hereby make t h e following bye­laws :—
1. These bye­laws m a y be cited as t h e Famagusta Municipal Gazettes:

house-to-house collection for a ny cha rita ble, phila nthropic or o t h e r
purpose unless s u c h person, or t h e i n s t i t u t i o n or society of which
such person is a m e m b e r sh a ll ha ve previously obta ined a licence
from the Council in t h a t beha lf.
260. E v e r y such licence sha ll sta te t h e d a t e or da tes, t h e m a n n e r
and the time or t i m e s a t which t h e collection t o which the licence
relates sha ll be m a d e , a nd ma y conta in such other ^ terms a n d
