accommodates exclusively Recreational Vehicles. These include
motor homes, travel trailers, park models, pop-ups, camper vans,
and truck campers. This does not prevent RV campers, however,
from using a tent on their site along with their RV to
accommodate children or guests.

SATURDAY ACTIVITIES
Horse Drawn Hayrides - For young and old alike, our hayrides start at
11:00 AM on Saturdays, and 7:30 PM on Wednesdays in July and August.
They are free and begin at the hayride barn. An antique farm tractor may
be used if it is too hot for the horses, or they are not available. Weather
permitting, of course.
Sheep Shearing - We will show you how the shearing is done, and
answer any questions you might have about these wonderful, woolly
animals.
Cow Milking - Anyone and everyone is welcome to try and get some milk
the old-fashioned way, from a cow. We'll show you how.
Pig Chase - It's an old-fashioned pig chase for those wishing to
participate. You will be competing with those in your own age bracket.
Ribbons are awarded to the winners. Fun is guaranteed.
Horse Shoeing - We will show you how we clean and trim our horses
hoofs, and then fit them with new shoes.
Campground Parade - Decorate your golf cart, bicycle, wagons, baby
carriages, etc., (be creative) and meet at the pavilion at 2:00 for our first
ever Campground Parade. Spectators can set up chairs along South
Drive and watch the parade pass by.
T-Shirt Tie Dying – Bring a white T-Shirt or we will have them on hand to
purchase. We will learn how the hippies made their fashion statement.
Christmas In July - All the thrills of Christmas with Christmas songs, a
decorated tree, Santa, presents, the works. Those giving a gift will receive
a gift. Label your wrapped gifts Boy, Girl, Adult or Infant, based on who is
giving it, and bring them to the office before 2 p.m. (Please keep gifts in
the $ 5.00 range.) All children will receive candy.
Craft Fair - Reserve a free table if you wish to sell your handcrafted and
homemade items, or come and view the wide array of talent reflected in
the many items that will be displayed for sale.
Chili Cook-0ff– Either bring a pot of your best recipe chili and compete
with your fellow campers to be the chili champion, or simply come and
sample the culinary capabilities of your friends. Entries must be home
made.
Pennywhistle the Clown– Come see the silly antics of Pennywhistle the
Clown. Lots of fun for children of all ages.
Magic Show - Mr. Magic always has a few tricks up his sleeve. He is sure
to amaze young and old alike.
Tricky Tray– This is our huge annual event that is always a great
fundraiser for The American Cancer Society. We are always looking for
people or businesses to donate trays. Please contact the campground
office, if you know anyone who might be willing to contribute.
Thanksgiving Pot Luck– We will celebrate Thanksgiving a little early at
Pleasant Acres. Bring your favorite dish up to the pavilion at 2:00 and
participate in the feast!
Sweet Corn Festival - Delicious farm fresh sweet corn, cooked outdoors,
dipped in butter and salted to your liking. Free, all you can eat. Plenty for
everyone. Bring your own plate or corn spears.
SATURDAY EVENINGS
Line Dance Lessons - Instructors from Monteray Entertainment will be
here to teach us all of the latest steps.
Supersonic DJs, Dances - Tommy Allen and his professional DJs put
together a mix of songs to please both young and old alike.
Supersonic Karaoke – Professional DJ and Karaoke Night. Come sing
your favorite tunes for everyone and cheer your friends on.
Mark Coulter – This guy is real crowd pleaser. He may be a one-man
band but he sounds as good as a stage full of performers.
Just Us, Amarillo, Side F/X - Come and enjoy some of the finest Country,
Rock & Oldies Bands from around the Tri-State area. Dance to the latest
hits or just sit and enjoy the music.
Wild Animal Show - Lori Space Day from Space Farms Zoo and Museum
will be bringing some furry friends and sharing some fun stories.
Wild Bird Show - Giselle Smisko of The Avian Wildlife Center, right here
is Wantage, is licensed by NJ Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife and the
United States Fish and Wildlife Service to rehabilitate wild birds. She will
bring some of them for us to see and talk about the work that she does.

SUNDAYS
Baby Animal Petting - From the time they are born, you will get a chance
to meet the baby animals from our farm. Every Sunday morning at 10:30,
we will bring them out of their pens to the lawn by the playground, where
everyone can pet, feed, hold and love them.
Paint Party - Learn to paint. We will be painting a different picture every
week. Everything is provided, including instruction. Bring your imagination.
Cost is $10 for canvas and supplies.
Amateur Night - Any or all of Pleasant Acres campers may participate.
Contestants will be judged and ribbons will be awarded in several
categories. Please register during the day if you wish to participate.
Contest will be followed by our End of Summer Dance featuring
Supersonic DJs.
WEEKDAY ACTIVITIES

Evening Swim - Pool hours will be extended on Mondays until 10:30 p.m.
for the special thrill of night swimming. The pool will be illuminated.
Trivia Tuesdays - Every Tuesday night will be a different category in this
game show event. There will be winners every week and a tournament
winner at the end of the summer.
Ceramics - Projects available for young and old alike. Some can be
completed in just one night. Purchase a piece and paint. Instruction and
detail paints are free.

2016 Schedule of Activities
Pancake, French Toast Breakfasts - On scheduled dates (see
calendar), for our campers at 8:30 a.m. Bring your own dish, silverware
and cup, and we will provide you with all the delicious Pancakes or French
Toast you can eat. They will be grill-hot, fresh from our super large
griddles. Come back for seconds or thirds, if you like. Coffee provided. It's
all free.
Spaghetti, Noodles, Macaroni, Chili or Soup - On scheduled dates (see
calendar), for our campers in the evenings at 6:30 p.m. and some
afternoons. Bring your own dish and silverware. Come back for seconds
or thirds, if you like.
Scavenger Hunt - Teamwork is the key to this old fashioned event. Bring
your team of four people. There must be at least 2 children on each team.
Divide up the list & find as many items as you can in the time allotted.
Halloween - Boo! It's Halloween in September with a costume contest,
and candy. Contestants will be judged for cutest, scariest, and most
creative costumes. Ribbons will be awarded to the winners. Please
register in office. No trick or treating on the campground.
Pumpkin Carving - We provide the pumpkins and the carving tools. Bring
your energy and imagination.
Awards Assembly - A special time to show our appreciation to the longtime seasonal campers. Awards will be given to seasonals who have been
with us for five years or more. All are welcome to attend.
