For the past 20 years, Foothills Community Christian School has been doing just that by providing a Christ-centered education to students. Since its founding in 1996, Foothills has doubled in size from 75 to 151 students and enrollment is expected to continue to grow for the coming years. Foothills, a non-denominational school serving students from 28 area churches, provides exceptional academics in a faith-based setting from prekindergarten through twelfth grade. Foothills recently announced the launch of a major fundraising effort to improve its programs and facilities. To kick-off this effort, the Gianforte Family Foundation generously pledged $500,000 to help meet the future needs of the school and ensure its future in the community. The gift hopes to inspire others to collectively meet or exceed this pledge so even more students in the Great Falls area have the opportunity to receive this incredible educational experience. “It is an incredible blessing that comes at a crucial time as we strive to continue to improve our academic and enrichment programs,” said Brion Lindseth, Chairman of the Foothills Board of Directors. “We’re ready to move into the future of Foothills. Our community needs this. Our students deserve this. And this pledge, and the additional support it inspires, will make it happen.” “Foothills continues to grow, and our programs and facilities need to meet that growth.” We provide a Christ-centered education that values exceptional academics, strong moral character, and service to others. We are called Foothills Community Christian School because we strive to have a positive influence on the entire Great Falls community.” The Gianforte Family Foundation supports organizations that equip others with the means to improve their lives and create lasting change. The Foundation was founded in 2005 by Greg and Susan Gianforte and has given over $51.7 million to support projects throughout Montana, the nation, and across the globe. In 2016, over 70% of the foundation’s giving was to Montana-based projects and organizations. Foothills hosted its Spring Banquet, “Foundation of Faith” on Tuesday, April 11 with guest speaker, Lt. Col. Oliver North. The launch of this fundraising campaign and the Gianforte Family Foundation’s gift was announced to an audience of more than 900.
