This scenic 260 mile excursion takes you from enchanting tropical rainforest's to the awe
inspiring rim of the massive Kilauea Caldera!
This tour will bring the wonders and excitement of the Hawaii's Big Island to life. You will enjoy
a fully narrated 260 mile tour that circumnavigates the largest Hawaiian Island. Your tour will
take you along the south coast where you can view Kealakekua Bay while you are sampling
flavorful coffees and teas at a Kona Coffee company. Your Hawaii Volcano Adventure
continues with an extensive exploration of the incredible Volcanoes National Park which
includes Kilauea Iki crater, steam bluffs, fern tree jungle and Thurston Lava Tube. You will
survey the stark, volcanic landscape of the Park from the observatory, and browse Jaggar
Museum. Drive past many cascading waterfalls on the Hamakua Coast and even walk upon
the Punalu’u Black Sand Beach. While on the east side you will visit a macadamia nut factory,
the world famous Big Island Candies, and Rainbow Falls. While returning to the west coast
your tour will travel through Parker Ranch lands, home of the original paniolos (Hawaiian
cowboys) of Waimea.

Just as it was for Mark Twain, over a century ago, this is truly the experience of a lifetime!
The recent eruptions of Hawaii's Kilauea Volcano in Volcanoes National Park have captured
the world's imagination. This narrated Volcano Adventure features a hike over the lava flow
that covered the village of Kalapana and famous Kaimu black sand beach in the 1990's. You
will experience a short walk out to the newest accessible black sand beach which takes you
over an area that was once the ocean. Look to the east and see the slopes of Volcanoes
National Park where, if there is any surface lava flow, you may see steam or lava coming
down towards the sea. You will explore Volcanoes National Park, Jagger Museum, Thurston
Lava Tube, Kilauea Iki Crater and Lava Tree State Park. This excursion continues on to
majestic Rainbow Falls where the rushing water interacts with the golden sunshine to create
rainbows. You will visit a colorful anthurium and orchid nursery where you will discover these
exotic blooms.

Lava viewing conditions change daily and we do not guarantee the viewing of active lava flow. The approach
involves hiking over rough uneven lava surfaces. Passengers with asthma or other respiratory problems should
consider our H-1 tour to avoid potential health problems due to exposure to fumes. Covered walking shoes, and
a light jacket/sweater/poncho are recommended as the weather conditions may change through out the course
of the day.

On this Maui tour from Oahu you will travel through beautiful upcountry Kula district to visit the
spectacular "House of the Sun", Mount Haleakala and enjoy the 10,043' summit at Haleakala
National Park, the Visitor Center, Pu`u Ula`ula Overlook, rare Silversword plants and unique
