CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS

ELIGIBILITY
1. This contest is open to all Bâtirente group retirement savings plan participants who visit the
Group Member website www.batirente.qc.ca/concours/en between January 1, 2017 and
February 28, 2017 and either confirm or update their On Target RetirementTM information.
2. The contest is open to Canadian residents who are 18 years old or older.
3. Contest must be entered no later than February 28, 2017 at 11:59 p.m.
PRIZES
4. Participants will have the chance to win one gift card, valued at $2,000 (in Canadian dollars),
redeemable at the travel agency Voyages Laurier Du Vallon* www.laurierduvallon.com.
DRAW
5. The draw will take place on April 3, 2017 at 2 p.m. EST at the Bâtirente office located at
2175 De Maisonneuve Blvd. East, Suite 203, Montréal, Québec. The name of the prize
winner will be drawn at random from all eligible participants. A committee will not be
required to select the winners.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
6. In the days following the draw, the contest organizers will contact the participant whose
name has been drawn by phone, email or mail. If within 10 business days following the
reception of a phone call, email or letter, the plan participant whose name has been drawn
has still not contacted the contest organizers, the latter reserve the right to award the prize
to another person.
7. The participant whose name has been drawn shall have correctly answered the following
mathematical question: 5 x 3 + 3 - 8, which appears on the online entry form. If the
participant did not provide the right answer, the contest organizers will randomly draw
another name from all eligible entries.
8. Prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred to another person,
substituted or redeemed for cash. In the event that a prize cannot be awarded as described
for reasons beyond Bâtirente’s control, a substitute prize of equal value will be offered.

9. Bâtirente will inform the winner by phone or email how to claim its prize.
10. The winner acknowledge that upon receiving its gift card from Voyages Laurier Du Vallon,
the execution of prize-related obligations (including the trip) is the full and exclusive
responsibility of Voyages Laurier Du Vallon, and the winner releases Bâtirente from any
liability or damage that he or she may incur by accepting or using its prize. Bâtirente
assumes no responsibility whatsoever in the event the company cannot fulfill its obligations
(e.g., bankruptcy).
11. It is the responsibility of everyone taking the trip(s) to purchase appropriate travel insurance
at their own expense. Bâtirente will in no way be responsible for medical or other expenses
normally covered by this kind of insurance.
12. Travel-related arrangements and reservations must be made by the winner with Voyages
Laurier Du Vallon and are subject to availability.
13. The winner releases Bâtirente and all persons involved in the execution of this contest from
all liability for any and all injury, accident, loss or other damage or inconvenience related to
its prize, or in connection with the acceptance, transportation or use of said prize.
14. The winner authorizes Bâtirente to use its name and photograph for internal
communications purposes, without any form of remuneration.
15. Bâtirente and Desjardins Financial Security employees, and any person residing with them
are not eligible to enter this contest.
16. All participants agree to abide by these rules and regulations. Any dispute regarding the
organization or conduct of this contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des
courses et des jeux for adjudication. Any dispute with respect to the awarding of a prize may
be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
17. These rules and regulations are available on the Bâtirente website at www.batirente.qc.ca.

18. The winner’s name will be announced on the Bâtirente website for a period of at least two
weeks and in Bâtirente’s electronic newsletter.
* Voyages Laurier Du Vallon is not associated with this contest and is in no way sponsoring it. Bâtirente is not promoting this
