Alma Alcocer-Thomas
Executive Chef
Originally from Mexico
City, Alma came to Austin
by way of Le Cordon Bleu
Culinary Academy in Paris.
After a lengthy career in fine
dining kitchens, Alma and longtime friend, Carlos
Rivero, collaborated to create El Alma. Now, Chef
Alma prepares vibrant, homespun takes on the
contemporary flavors of Mexico as she might cook
for you in her own home.

Raised here in Austin, Tejas
Gina brings a wealth of catering
experience and event-planning
knowledge to the El Chile team.
After running her own catering business for more
than 20 years, Gina is both an accomplished chef and
well-rounded catering professional. Gina works with
both Jeff and Alma to create a seamless, beautiful
and stunning event for you and your guests. Her
work is sure to exceed your expectations.
Jeff Martinez
Executive Chef
Hailing from San Antonio,
“Cheffrey” is the founding
chef of El Chile. After several
years off expanding his LatinAmerican culinary knowledge
in Mexico and Peru, Martinez returned to the family
in 2012 to continue sharing his passion for food.
