What is SCRIP?
SCRIP is a wonderful and easy fundraising tool that gives money back to our school
AND you. Through the SCRIP web site or from school/church, you buy gift cards
for stores that you usually shop at like Wal-Mart, Publix and many, many more. You
only pay the face value of the card. These retailers then donate a percentage of the
gift card value to our school.
For example, CVS donates 7% to CTK. For a $25 gift card, that is $1.75. The school
splits that amount with you, so that you can then use it toward academic fees the next
school year. Imagine how this adds up when you continually order gift cards for
stores you always go to anyway. The list includes grocery, gas, restaurants, movies,
clothes retailers, book stores, I-Tunes and many more.

THERE ARE 3 WAYS TO PURCHASE SCRIP GIFT CARDS:

PHYSICAL CARDS
a. Physical cards will now be delivered once per month. This is because the
school paid a lot of money each week in shipping that sometimes offset the
profit we would have made, especially if there were only a few orders.

GETTING STARTED FOR ONLINE ORDERS
1. Go to www.shopwithscrip.com
2. Choose the green Family Sign Up button on left side of screen
3. Fill out form
 you will be asked for the school code: C14CA3534L79
4. Once you are registered, you can begin to shop.
5. Follow the ordering schedule above to purchase physical cards.
Note: You can place your order any time in between the delivery cycle, but you
won’t receive the cards until the next delivery date.
6. Submit order confirmation page and check to school (made out to Christ the
King) on Monday.
NOTE: If you have paid with PrestoPay, you don’t need to do this step.

ScripNow AND RELOADABLE CARDS
a. ScripNow – Hundreds of retailers (including Wal-Mart and Target) offer the option
to buy ‘cards’ and then download the purchase to your phone OR print out the
certificate from home.
i. You can purchase these at any time at your convenience without regard for
the schedule noted above AS LONG AS YOU ARE SIGNED UP FOR
PRESTOPAY.
b. Once you have a physical card for some retailers, you can then reload them at your
convenience. This works well for gas cards because you can’t use a certificate at the
pump.

What is PrestoPay
Now pay on-line when you order – using ShopWithScrip’s PrestoPay. For just
$0.15 per order, save yourself time and the hassle of a paper check, and pay with
a virtual one instead. PrestoPay is not a credit card system, but instead uses the
secure ACH electronic funds transfer system.
Three Easy Steps to Sign-Up
Click on PrestoPay on the left hand navigation bar once you’re logged into
the SCRIP web site.
1. Register: Enter your bank account information in a secure environment.
2. Verify: Enter the 2 small amounts that Great Lakes Scrip Center deposits
into your specified account.
3. Finish: Forward your approval code, delivered to you via email, to the
scrip coordinator at [email protected].
Once you are approved by your coordinator, a final email will be sent as
notification you are ready for online payment. To learn more, go to
www.shopwithscrip.com. This process does take 5-7 days, so plan accordingly
if you’re going to use it for the physical card delivery option.
IMPORTANT NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PRESTO PAY, YOUR SCRIPNOW AND/OR RELOAD
PURCHASES WILL FOLLOW THE DELIVERY SCHEDULE ABOVE. MEANING, THEY WON’T BE
SENT TO YOUR PHONE OR ABLE TO PRINT OUT UNTIL THOSE DELIVERY DATES.

2. BUY CARDS FROM THE SCHOOL OFFICE
There will be a small variety of frequently ordered cards for sale in the office.
A parent volunteer will be in the office after drop off in the morning and after school on
Thursdays every week (except during Holidays) to sell cards.
Retailers and denominations will include Publix $25 and $100, Wal-Mart $25 and $100,
Shell gas $50, Starbucks $10, Panera $10, and I-tunes $10. We will broaden the variety
during high shopping seasons.
But remember, you can order whatever you need/want from the web site using ScripNow
and PrestoPay.
You will still earn your rebates by purchasing cards this way. You can pay by check or
cash.
3. BUY CARDS AT CHURCH
We will offer the same variety of cards for sale at church once per month after the masses.
We will have volunteers to sell the cards in the lobby.
