Lightspeed 6.0 Release Notes
What’s New in Version 6.0?
Tip: You can now click the arrow on the Detail button in most functions to see recently accessed
documents.
Note: New functions default to no security access, even for users who have full access already set in
their previous security setup. You have to specifically add access to the new functions.
See New Security Settings on page 7.
Customer Checkout Display
You can now set up a separate display at the counter to show the customer the items on the parts
invoice. Pg. 8.
Custom Reports Run in the Background
The custom report processing now takes place on separate servers to reduce the impact that running
reports has on other users in the system. Completed reports are now accessed via a Task Manager
available in the footer bar. The reports run in the background while you continue with other tasks. You
are notified when your reports are complete. Pg. 6.
Ability to Set Price on Option Detail Lines
You can now choose whether the option will be priced using a total option price or by setting the retail
value for each line item included in the option. Pg. 16.
Hosted System Update
This update applies only to hosted systems. New features such as running reports on a background
server are supported only in the hosted environment. This release cannot be loaded for dealers on a
stand-alone, dealership-owned server (non-hosted). We do not anticipate further program updates for
stand-alone systems.
Windows XP Not Supported
Microsoft has ended support for Windows XP. This leaves workstations using Windows XP more
vulnerable to outside influence and less practical to certify for software compliance. ADP does not
certify any releases of the Lightspeed DMS for use with workstations running the Windows XP OS. We
suggest that you upgrade any client workstations using XP to a more current version of Windows.

GENERAL
Custom Reports Run in the Background
When you run a custom report the processing is now done on separate servers. There is a new Task
Viewer function that is represented by a small blue “gear” icon
at the bottom of the screen. You
can continue working while the report runs in the background. A notice pops up when the report is
completed and the gear icon turns yellow to show that there are completed reports not yet accessed.
Click the gear icon to view your reports. Any that are still running will show the gear icon next to the
report title. Those that are processed show a green checkmark and can be displayed by clicking the
link. From the report display you can print the report or save it as a PDF file.
A user can have up to three reports queued up simultaneously in the task viewer. To remove a report
from the task viewer click the red X to the right of the report listing.
Note that reports do not show on the “Open Windows” panel at the left of the Lightspeed display. You
must open the Task Viewer to access the completed reports. To close the task view window click the X
in the top-right corner. The view closes, but any reports that are still in progress will continue to run in
the background.
System Fixes
Desktop Disappeared and Settings were Removed
A second login or forced logout could cause the Desktop settings to become disabled. This has been
fixed.
Edited Forms Reverted after Update
If an update included forms they would overwrite forms of the same name on the dealer system. This
could overwrite some dealer-edited or customized forms. Form updates and additions are now loaded
only if there is not already an existing form with the same name on the dealer system.
Customer Alternate Address in Custom Reports
The customer alternative address had not been available in custom reports. It is now available in the
customer and AR Customer data sets.
Management Activity Out of Balance on Special Order Return
When the parts department used the invoice Return function on an invoice that included a special order
on which a deposit was taken an out of balance would occur. Management Activities would show an
error saying “There is no SpecialOrderID for scheduled Account…” This has been fixed.
Accessing Customer History Could Slow the System
Accessing the customer inquiry could consume a lot of server resource and slow the system. The
inquiry now runs much more efficiently.
Duplicating a Tax Category Removed Detail
When a tax category was duplicated to create a new category, the tax detail lines from the original were
moved (deleted) rather than copied. This has been fixed.

New Security Settings
The following security settings may need to be modified on individual user’s security access settings.
Go to the System – Security menu to edit user security detail.

Service – Estimates/RO Functionality – Create New dealer Unit and Edit Dealer Unit.
When setting up a repair order service personnel had access to create or edit a major unit
inventory record while adding a dealer unit. This can now be restricted.

Sales – Quotes and Deals – View Parts and Labor Cost Column
Note also that the users will need to log out and then log back in for security changes to take effect.
New Fields in Custom Reporting – Go to the System – Security function, select the user, and then in
the user detail record select the Reporting tab. Headings with gray checkboxes have new fields in
their detail list. Check the header level to allow all, or check the individual lines with empty
checkboxes to allow access to specific report fields.

Customer Checkout Display
There is a new customer checkout display option for parts invoicing that allows you to post a monitor or
pole display at the checkout counter to show the basic invoice information.
Customer ID display can be toggled on
or off by clicking the “screen” icon in
the Sold to section of the parts invoice.
If enabled, the display is automatically started when a user logs in. If you are not on a parts invoice, the
default display is the logo listed in the General settings of System Preferences.


Customer Detail: Customer information is optional. You can click the screen icon in the Sold
To section on the invoice to toggle the customer and address information on or off.

Part Info: Shows quantity in the first column, description, part number, and retail price in the
second (Information) column, and invoice amount in the third. If an item is discounted the Each
price with the description differs from the discounted value in the Amount column. As always, if
the line item discount entry is used to increase the amount the Each (retail) and Amount both
show the same figure.

Totals: Shows the taxable amount, the total of mark-down discounts, tax, subtotal, special
order amounts, and amount due.

Enabling the Customer Display
The Customer Display setting is in the Workstation Preferences. If enabled on workstations that do not
have a dual monitor set up for the display the customer screen appears in the background, but can be
“minimized” to the toolbar icon if the Fullscreen checkbox has not been set. If the display screen is not
set to Fullscreen it can also be closed. If it is closed, it remains closed until the user logs in again. The
Display Invoice button on the invoice screen will not reopen or maximize the display, it only determines
whether the invoice shows on the display screen when it is viewable.
You have the option to use a separate monitor or pole display for the customer display. The customer
display monitor is set up as a dual-screen monitor on your system and requires a video card and driver
that supports wide screen display by spreading your view over dual monitors. The customer display is
then shown on the second monitor.
To enable the customer display:
1. Go to the System – Workstation Preferences menu. On the Workstation Preferences screen
expand the Display menu and select Display Setup.
2. Check the Use Customer Facing Display checkbox.
3. If you have set up a pole monitor or other customer display, choose the screen number that
matches your customer display monitor.
Note: There is a new Display Invoice button at the top of the Parts Invoice screen to show or not show
the invoice on the display monitor. If the image on the button is an invoice, it is displayed. If the
image is a blank screen the display shows the dealership logo rather than the invoice.
There is also a new display icon in the Sold to” tab of the invoice that toggles showing the
customer name and address detail on the remote display. Leave this off to retain customer
privacy if needed.
Tip: Use of the customer display is required in California.
Use Inventory Cost or Price Book Cost in Receiving
There is a new selection in the supplier record to allow a choice between using inventory cost or price
book cost in ordering, receiving, and returns. This enables dealers that get cost discounts to use their
inventory cost rather than the price book figures in these functions.
Change Item Sale Category in Ordering and Receiving
In the past changing the sales category required clicking the inventory link to open the inventory record
and make the change. Now on the ordering and receiving screens the sales category is displayed in
the Parts Info section for the highlighted part. The category can be changed using the lookup next to
the category field directly from the ordering and receiving screens.

New Quick Links
In the Parts Inventory record you can click the field title to go to the Supplier definition, Category
definition, or to the Superseded To part record.
From the Parts Invoice you can now click the Supplier entry to go to the supplier definition.
Receiving Now Shows Only Items Not Received
The receiving detail screen for the supplier order now shows only those items not received or partially
received from the order. You can click the Completed Orders button at the top of the screen to display
all of the items on the order.
Simplified Invoicing to Sales
To reduce the number of clicks required at invoicing, when there is a part request from sales the prompt
in the invoice defaults to adding the items to that request. You can still choose to have each item
create a separate option in the prompt dialog if needed.
Parts Fixes
Sale Price Not Indicated
When the sale price on an item was applied it had been shown in the regular price column with no
discount indicated. Now on the screen and the printout the retail value shows in the regular price
column with the sale price in the discount column. The discount amount is also shown in the invoice
totals.
Bin Location Added to Invoice Printout
The bin location had been included only when the Pick Ticket was printed. Since many dealers prefer
to print only once and use the invoice as their pick ticket as well, we have added the bin location to the
parts invoice printout.
Adding Parts to Order List from Buying Guide was Slow
When the Guide suggested ordering a large number of parts it could take several minutes to add the
order list to the suggested order screen. This has been improved. Note that very large orders, such as
a seasonal order using a long look-ahead period, may still take some time to complete.
The time needed to create the PO from a large order list has also been reduced.
Superseding a Part in Receiving Could Take a Long Time
When making a superseding part entry in receiving, it could take a long time to process if inventory
contained a large number of parts for the supplier. This has been fixed.
Part Price Update using Escalator Slow or Not Completing
The parts price escalator took a long time to process and would sometimes hang when updating prices
if inventory contained a very large number of parts from a supplier. The escalator processing is now
much faster and has increased capacity to avoid this situation.

Count Sheet Update Could Run Multiple Instances
It had been possible to close the count sheet update window while it was processing and then start the
same count sheet processing again. This could create multiple instances of the same count updating.
The process will now run to completion and not allow another instance to be started until the one
running has completed.
Part Receiving Labels Not Filtered to Local Store
When printing part receiving labels for a multiple-location dealership the labels were not being filtered to
print only those for the local store. This has been fixed.
Recent Special Orders Showed Date as 01/01/1000 in Receiving
In the Special Order Info section of the receiving screen the SO Date field would display 01/01/1000 for
all special order parts. This has been fixed.
Part Requests from Other Stores on Desktop in Multiple Store Dealerships
When the desktop function was used to show part requests from service or sales in a multiple-store
dealership some requests from other stores could be shown. This has been fixed.
Sale Type (Tax Override) Selection on SO Invoice Not Carried to Pick-Up
When a Sale Type override was applied to an invoice with special order or layaway items, the invoice
created for the items at pick-up did not retain the sale type selection. This has been fixed.
Top Selling Parts Report Not Working with “By Supplier” Filter
The Top Selling Parts report was not working when the filter by supplier was applied. This has been
fixed.
Parts Adjustment Report for Supplier Returns Not Showing Supplier
When the parts adjustment report was printed for supplier returns, the supplier code was not being
included on the report. This has been fixed.
Parts Adjustment Report Sort Order Not Matching Receiving List
The sort order of the parts on the adjustments report had shifted such that it no longer matched the
order shown in the receiving list. This has been corrected.
Parts Invoice Lines Change Order after Hold
When an invoice was placed on hold, the parts lines showed in a different order when recalled from
hold. This could cause concerns or confusion in some situations and has been fixed.
Recalling On-Hold Invoices Could Take Several Seconds
It could sometimes take several seconds to display the on-hold invoice list. The load time has now
been significantly reduced.
Custom Report Calculation Could Not Use “Sales Last” or “Sales This” Fields
When a custom report was built with any of the “Sales Last” or “Sales This” fields for monthly totals an
error was displayed. This has been fixed.

SERVICE
New Search and Display Functions on the Repair Orders List
Full Text Search on the RO List
You no longer need to select the type of search. Just type what you are looking for in the search field
to automatically search all of the fields available on the Estimates and Repair Orders screen. The
search spans all of the available columns, not just those that are currently displayed.
Filters: Your search filters in the Category field and checkbox selections (Estimates, Repair Orders,
Cashiered, and Canceled) still apply.
Limited Search: You can also limit the search to a specific column heading by typing the heading in all
lower case followed by a colon and your search term. For example, to find only repair orders where
the Service Writer was John (and not ROs where the customer name is John) you could type
servicewriter:john.
Partial Search: You can use the * wild card to search for a partial match within a string of characters.
For example, to find a unit with VIN where the last six characters are 7L0129 you would type *7L0129
in the search field.
Single Line Per Multi-Unit Repair Order
Repair orders with multiple units now show on just one line. The first unit is listed. The search however
will find any unit from the RO and include the RO in the search results showing the unit searched.
Line Wrap is Now Available
The Line Wrap selection is now available on the Estimates and Repair Orders List screen. When Line
Wrap is enabled, information that includes word breaks (spaces) can expand the row to wrap to two or
more lines. You could for example enable line wrap and then shrink the Customer and Status columns
to enable more room for adding or expanding other columns in the view.
Service Scheduler Move Open Items Function
The service scheduler now has a button at the top of the screen that allows you to move all the
scheduled items where the labor is not closed out. When moved, the items go to the next day for the
same technician at the top of the schedule in the same order as currently assigned. Close all
completed labor in the repair orders before running this function.
Schedule Guide
There is now a Schedule Guide button that pops up a summary of scheduled items. It shows the next
available day with open hours so the service writer can easily find the next available day to schedule. It
also lets them know if there is scheduled labor without a repair order and RO labor not on the schedule.
The final item, “next available day including repair order lines not yet scheduled” shows how far out the
next available day will be when all items are scheduled.
The Not Yet Scheduled looks at hours on repair orders that are not reflected on the scheduler.
Unassigned hours on the scheduler are included in Total Hours on Scheduler.

Ability to Update Labor Paid from Tech Stats Report
After running the Technician Statistics report you can now click the Mark Paid button at the top of the
screen to automatically mark all of the reported labor lines as paid. This is much faster and more
efficient than marking the lines individually in the Update Labor Paid function.
You can go to the Service – Update Labor Paid function to review the entries and make any
adjustments if needed.
Tip: You should always ensure that paid labor lines are marked as paid. This locks them in the repair
order so that they cannot be edited. It is important to not unclose and edit a paid labor line
because it would then show up in the next pay report as a new entry with the full hours. If
adjustments to labor hours are needed after labor is paid, always create a new labor line for the
entry.
New Drill-Down Abilities
Link to Customer from Customer Unit
The Current Owner column in the customer unit list now has links to go to the customer record.
Link to RO from Warranty Claim
You can now click the repair order number from the Warranty Claims list or detail screen to access the
repair order.
Link to RO from Tech Time
You can now click the RO number on the Technician Time entry screen to access the repair order.
Service Fixes
Technician Can Have Simultaneous Logins on Labor Line
It is possible for a technician to clock in on a job while still clocked in on another. If a technician forgot
to log out time could accumulate simultaneously on more than one job. Since some dealerships
intentionally allow a technician to multitask and clock into multiple jobs simultaneously this has been
addressed by allowing the dealership to allow or disallow logging in to multiple jobs.
In the technician file there is now a checkbox to allow multiple labor session logins. If disallowed, a
message is posted when an additional login is attempted. The message identifies the current login and
offers the choice to log the other entry out and continue, or to continue with the other login.
Some Repair Orders Not Showing in History
When viewing the customer history tab in the RO any prior repair order that had no labor entry (such as
sublet only) was not displayed under the “Previous 12 months” selection. If the “All Invoices” view was
selected the non-labor RO would show with no date. This has been fixed.
Shop Supplies Subtotal Not Shown for Jobs
On the RO printout the shop supplies total was shown, but not the job detail. When shop supplies are
entered per job the amounts per job are now shown.

Accessing the RO had been Slow
The access time when opening a repair order has been improved.
Monthly Calendar Slowed Scheduler Functions
The monthly calendar had been slow to open. The speed has been improved.
If the monthly calendar was open when a user added an item to the scheduler the scheduler ran slow.
This has been fixed.
Reversing a Repair Order Could Cause MA Out of Balance
When reversing a repair order it was possible to have the management activities show an out of
balance situation for the RO. This would occur if the actions taken in the repair order were rapid and
the MA processing had not completed. The system will now not allow overlapping processing and
presents a message telling the user to try again later.
Error when Emailing an Internal Repair Order
When printing an internal repair order, if the email button was used an error would be displayed if no
customer was associated with the RO. This has been fixed. You can now click the email button and
add the recipient.
Attachments Not Transferred with Job
When transferring a job that included attachments the job that was created in the new RO did not
include the attachments. This has been fixed.
Transferred RO Could Go to Different Store
If a multi-store dealership had repair orders with the same customer and unit open in each store,
transferring jobs from an RO could put them on an RO in a different store. The transferred RO will now
remain within the same store.
Jobs on RO Form Not Listed in Same Order as on Repair Order
When a repair order was printed to a form the jobs might not print in the same order as they appeared
on the repair order. This has been fixed.

SALES
Ability to Price Parts and Labor Detail in Options
Pricing Options by Total or Detail Level
Generally an individual option is added for each feature that the dealership wants to print on the final
deal with pricing set as entered in the option. In the past, a change to the option price would be
distributed among the parts and labor lines within the option and there was no way for the user to set
pricing on individual parts and labor detail. To address this, a new selection has been added to applied
options to allow pricing by Total (the option price) or by detail, which allows setting the individual retail
values for every detail line contained in the option.
Service Option Pricing Changed to Show Full Retail
The options added by Service had been coming over to the unit with no retail pricing attached, requiring
a user to enter the price within the sales deal. To address this all options that originate in the RO now
come over with the retail values for parts and labor lines applied.
This Service retail default provides two major benefits.

Many dealerships will “dress up” a unit prior to placing it for sale. This ensures that the
associated retail value is included and presented up-front when the unit is brought into a deal.

Some dealers may give a hand-written deal quote to Service or quote only the unit in the deal and
then send the customer to the Parts and Service departments to accessorize. The Service
department then creates the jobs to install the options. These options now come over to the unit
with full retail on the part lines so the actual retail value of the option is the starting point.
Dealership personnel can then adjust each item for the final deal or to match the hand-written
quote if that level of detail is needed. Alternately, they can change the option pricing to Price by
Total and just set the option price.
More Flexibility in Deals
Generally deals are written with all the detail needed in the option list. However, sometimes deals are
written to track specific discounts on individual items. Tracking pricing on individual part and labor lines
had previously been difficult because when the option price was changed the change was applied
proportionally to all of the line items in the option. Now the Price by Detail selection retains all of the
individual item prices and any individual line discounts made in the deal as long as Service makes no
additional changes.
Limitations of Detail Pricing – Note that while it is possible to set pricing on the parts and labor
specified in the option on the deal and lock those lines, Parts and Service can still invoice or add to the
RO and affect option pricing.
When using the preferred Price by Total method the entered price for the option is retained regardless
of the parts and labor applied when installing the option. When using Price by Detail the pricing can be
affected by Service.
The selection to price options by total or by detail affects your deal process in several ways:

16 of 22
When Price by Detail is used the parts and labor lines are individually priced and can retain the
exact entry if the new “Lock” checkbox is used in the deal parts and labor detail. (But changes
made in a repair order can still affect the option pricing if quantities are changed or new items are
added.)


If Price by Total is used the option price (Adj. Price field) for any existing option is not affected by
Parts or Service. The price is retained unless intentionally changed in the unit or deal. If the
option total price is changed pricing of items comprising the option is still distributed proportionally
to sum to the entered price, as before.

Price by Detail allows à la carte pricing which may be useful on a deal where a fixed list of retail
items is added in one or few options. However, if the sales form is set up to print parts and labor
rather than options the printout will include all of the parts and labor lines that are not classified as
“Prep.” The form may include installation hardware and such that is more detail than needed.

When Service creates an option via the RO, Price by Detail is used to provide the retail figure. In
the deal you can then change to Price by Total if you want to enter an option price that does not
change if the pricing of individual items changes.

After an option has been applied you can switch between Total and Detail pricing on the options.
However, when going from Total to Detail if changes are made the original values are not
retained if you switch back.
To summarize, the new Price by Detail selection in the Option allows for options originated in Service to
come across with retail pricing shown. The best practice recommendation is still to use Price by Total
throughout the remaining deal processing stages. When printing the deal you have much greater control
if you have created an option for each feature that you want listed rather than printing parts detail.
New Search and Display Functions on the Sales Deal List
Full Text Search on the Deal List
You no longer need to select the type of search. Just type what you are looking for in the search field
to automatically search all of the fields available on the Quotes and Deals screen. The search spans all
of the available columns, not just those that are currently displayed.
Filters: Your search filters in the Category field and checkbox selections (Quotes, Current Deals,
Finalized Deals, Voided Quotes, Voided Deals) still apply.
Limited Search: You can also limit the search to a specific column heading by typing the heading in all
lower case followed by a colon and your search term.
Partial Search: You can use the * wild card to search for a partial match within a string of characters.
For example, to find a unit with VIN where the last six characters are 7L0129 you would type *7L0129
in the search field.
Single Line Per Multi-Unit Deal
Deals with multiple units now show on just one line. The first unit is listed. The search however will find
any unit from the deal and include the deal in the search results showing the unit searched.
Line Wrap is Now Available
The Line Wrap selection is now available on the Quotes and Deals List screen. When Line Wrap is
enabled, information that includes word breaks (spaces) can expand the line to wrap to two or more
lines. You could for example enable line wrap and then shrink the Customer column to enable more
room for adding or expanding other columns in the view.
Drill Down Link from Major Unit Category to Sales Categories
You can now click a sales category line title within the Major Unit Category record to access the
selected sales category definition.

Form List Remains Open to Allow Multiple Selections
The form list had been closing after each selection. It now remains open so you can continue to select
and print forms without going through the menu for each one.
Double-click to select a form to print. After printing the form, the selection box remains open so that you
can select and print another form. When you have finished printing forms, click the OK button in the
form selection dialog to close it.
Parts Tax Estimate Added to Quoted Option
When a quoted option for service was added to a deal there was no tax calculation for parts in the
option done at that time. Once the service was completed and the option was applied, the parts and
labor charges were known and the tax was applied.
Since the tax amounts could differ significantly if parts and labor had different tax rates, the quoted
option now applies an estimated tax for parts vs. labor. It does this by subtracting the estimated labor
cost entry from the option adjusted price to determine the parts amount to tax.
Make Cost Visible in Deal
You can now allow users to view parts and labor cost in the deal Parts/Labor tab view. To view cost the
user must have security access enabled.
To set security to view cost:
1. Go to the System – Security menu to display the security list.
2. Select the user on the security list and open the security detail record.
3. On the security tree menu in the detail record go to Sales – Quotes and Deals. Under Quotes
and Deals check the box for the View Parts and Labor Cost Column.
4. Save and close. The user will need to log in to apply the security setting.
Sales Fixes
Form Values Not Updated after External Changes to Deal
It had been possible in some situations, such as invoicing parts to a deal and then making no other
changes in the deal before printing forms, to have the form tax figures not match the deal figures. This
has been fixed.
Forms with Multiple Prompts per Field Not Working
If there were two prompts for different conditions on a form field, items that matched the entered
conditions would sometimes not print. This has been fixed.
License Fee Cost Not Updating Automatically
The license fee cost was not automatically updated if the license fee entry was changed. This has
been fixed.

Holdbacks Created Inappropriate Journal Entries
All holdbacks were creating journal entries, rather than just those that were set up to affect cost. Now
journal entries are made only if the holdback is set to reduce cost.
Reversing a Parts-Only Option Created a Second Option Entry for the Reversal
When a part was deleted the negative invoice to remove the part created a second part option entry for
the reversal. This has been fixed.
CEM Not Recognizing Customer Name after Transfer to Deal
When a deal was transferred from the CEM module to the EVO deal the customer name from EVO was
not recognized for CEM follow-up. This has been fixed.
Lienholder Selection Slow or Crashes
When selecting a lienholder in the deal the selection could take a long time to process and possibly lock
the workstation. The lienholder selection is now a full-function lookup which is faster and also allows
adding or editing lienholder records.
Error Saving Deal after Using Co-Buyer Copy Button
After using the Copy button to copy the buyer address info to the co-buyer the deal would produce an
“entity copy” error message upon saving. This has been fixed.
Management Activity Sales Tax Error on Deal with Trade
The sales tax entry could show out of balance in Management Activity under certain circumstances on
a deal with a trade-in unit. This has been resolved.
Transferred Unit with Completed Options Showed Option Requests
When a unit was transferred to another store the applied options could become option requests when
the unit was added to a deal. This would happen when there were completed options that had
originated on a service repair order rather than starting from a request in the sales deal. Options now
transfer correctly.
Unit Length Entered on Trade-in Unit Converted to Multiple or Decimal
When a unit type that included an entry to unit length was used for a trade-in unit, the unit length entry
was multiplied or changed to a decimal value. This has been fixed.
On Forms the Engine 1 Field Would Accept Only Numbers
When the Engine 1 field was used on a form it would accept only a numeric entry, making it impossible
to enter an alpha-numeric serial number. This has been fixed.
Error Trying to Load the Option
When creating an option, an entry into the Option # field that started with a number followed by a
space could cause an error when trying to save the option. This format is now accepted.

RENTAL
Rental Fixes
Stopping Rental before Last Accounting Posted Date No Longer Allowed
It had been possible to change the end date of a reservation to a time before the date that revenue had
posted to accounting. This can no longer be done. When attempted, a message is presented that
shows the latest posting date and allows you to stop the reservation on that date.
Stopping Rental Posted to Future Date
When a reservation was stopped early the accounting posting was entered for the future end date.
Posting to the future date is no longer allowed. The end date must be changed when stopping the
reservation early.
Could Change Start Date after Posting
It had been possible to change the start date after revenue had posted to accounting, which caused
issues with billing and payment processes. Changing the start date is no longer allowed if revenue has

Accounting Fixes
Repair Order Reversal Caused Out of Balance
It had been possible to create an out of balance situation when a repair order was reversed, especially
if the service department performed the finalize/reverse/refinalize process in a short period of time.
This will no longer happen.
Duplicated Repair Order Caused Out of Balance
If the service department used the Duplicate function to create a repair order for a recurring service a
tax entry was being carried over that caused an out of balance situation. This has been fixed.
Voided AP Invoice with Offset to AR put AR Out of Balance
When an AP invoice with offset to an AR customer was voided, the GL entries were reversed, but not
the AR entry. This has been fixed.
Issues with “Add Forever” on Recurring Invoices
Change to “Add Forever” Not Retained on Existing Invoice: If an existing recurring invoice was
edited to select the “Add Forever” checkbox, the selection was not retained upon save. This has been
fixed.
– Prompted to “Zero Original Balance” Upon Access: If the Add Forever selection was in use,
accessing the recurring invoice would bring up a prompt asking if you wanted to zero the original
balance. In addition, you could not cancel the add forever selection unless you chose to “cancel” this
prompt, and you could not recreate the add forever selection if it was canceled (as per above). This
has been fixed.
AP Invoice with Distribution to Two Stores Could Cause Out of Balance
If a vendor invoice included distributions to two stores and there were debit and credit entries within one
store that balanced the journal entry could be incorrect. This has been fixed.
AP Distribution Accounts List Lost Sort Order
After setting up a distribution list the accounts did not appear in the order they were added when viewed
in vendor invoicing. This has been corrected.
Cryptic Reference Number on AR Statements and Customer Inquiry
The reference number on AR statements had displayed a system reference rather than the document
number from the customer invoice. This has been corrected to show the document number.
The reference number on transactions shown in the AR Customer Inquiry was also the internal
reference rather than the document number. Now the document number is shown.
