In the framework of a ERC grant, a call is issued for a bioinformatician post-­‐
doctoral position in the group of Irene Bozzoni at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. The research topic relates to the study of the contribution of non coding RNAs (miRNA and long non coding RNAs) in the control of muscle differentiation as well as in the pathogenesis of neuromuscular disorders. The selected candidate will have to pursue his own scientific project as well as to follow the activities of the group with specific regard to NGS analysis. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in programming and good knowledge of statistics; specific expertise is required in fields of transcriptomics and RNA bioinformatics (RNAseq analysis, ChIPseq, RNA-­‐RNA and RNA-­‐Protein interactions...). A background in biology is preferred but also origin from other scientific areas would be fine. The position will be for three years, starting end of 2014, and the salary will be in accordance to European standards; more specifically, accounting for specific experience (as reported in the CV) and seniority of the candidate.
