Bilingual Santa to arrive in Forest Hill fire truck
The famous Bilingual Santa will be on hand again this
year for the 35th annual Christmas Celebration. The Forest Hill Celebration Committee and city staff are busy
making plans for the event scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday,
December 3.
Caroling by local schools and churches, door prizes for
the kids including at least two bicycles plus holiday treats
for the kids are just a few of the activities which will also
include the lighting of the indoor
tree at the Civic & Convention
Center at 6901 Wichita.
Bring your camera or phone

a good time and bring your singing voice for the caroling!
We wish you a Merry Christmas

Disposal of Fats, Oils and Grease, & Pharmaceuticals It doesn’t stop at the kitchen sink ....
Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG), the residue left over from cooking meats such as bacon that
hardens after it cools, can cause problems when poured down the drain and clog pipes in your
NO
home. Did you know FOG can also clog the sewer pipes under the streets that take the wastewater from your house to the treatment plant? If that happens, the wastewater can back up and
GREASE
come to the surface and pollute the environment. To keep this from happening, collect FOG
NO
in a container and throw it away in the trash. Disposal of Pharmaceuticals: Pharmaceuticals
flushed down the toilet end up in the wastewater system and cannot be treated at the wasteRX
water treatment plants. Expired or unused medication should therefore not go down the drain
or toilet, but should be thrown in the trash. Mix the prescription drugs with an undesirable
substance such as used kitty litter or coffee grounds. Then put the mix in empty cans or sealable bags and throw away in the trash. This further ensures that the drugs are not diverted or accidentally ingested by children
or pets. By correctly disposing of pharmaceuticals, you reduce the risk of improper drug use in your home while protecting the
environment. This message is brought to you by the North Texas Grease Abatement Council - Visit www.ceasethegreasentx.com
