FINALE!!... ALL DANCERS!!
Senior Rebecca Mason: Rebecca has been a dancer for 15 years and five of those years she has danced with Shannon. Her
favorite dance style is lyrical, as she loves to interpret the music through dancing. The dance recitals have to be her favorite part
of dance as she loves the costumes and the rhinestones! Her best memories at Shannon’s have to be when everyone was
supposed to be stretching but everyone would sit around and talk instead. Over the years, Rebecca has earned many trophies
and accolades; for example when she was a sophomore she placed fifth at The State Solo Contest for her dance team, The Albia
Dee-Lites, where she was a member for the past four years of her high school career. After graduation, Rebecca plans to attend
Northwest Missouri State University to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy and she would like to dance in college as well.
Rebecca’s words: “To me, dance is a way to express myself. Not only does it take a lot of athletic
skill to dance, but you need to have artistic skill as well.”
