HIGH IMAGE QUALITY WITH MINIMUM OF RADIATION DOSE
Score points with your patients.
Keeping the patient’s exposure to radiation as low as
possible is one of the primary concerns of X-ray diagnostics.
Ideal: Constant hard radiation through multipulse technology
Compared with normal single-pulse generators, the multipulse technology of the HELIODENT DS supplies a higher-energy, harder radiation
at an exposure voltage of only 60kV. This produces outstanding definition and detail resolution as well as balanced density for the entire
exposure. At the same time, the skin dose is reduced by 20% due to
the low percentage of soft X-rays. This optimal effective dose is an
important point for your patients: In conjunction with the HELIODENT
radiation limiter, this keeps radiation exposure to a minimum.
Lowest possible digital imaging dose through short exposures
Digital intraoral X-ray offers special advantages in connection with
dose reduction: The highly sensitive detecting surfaces of the new
XIOS sensors react to even extremely short switching times. The dose
is reduced by 90% in comparison to film sensitivity class D and by
50% in comparison to film sensitivity class E.
Root filling 13, apical lucency, suspicion of apical
ostitis with questionable
relationship to maxillary
sinus.
Bridge treatment after loss
of 12 and 15, condition
after root filling of 13, 14
and 16.
Advantages of the HELIODENT DS
■ Excellent image quality:
Multipulse generator for high definition and detail accuracy
■ For film and digital exposures:
Suitable exposure times and harmonized radiation limiter
Digital advantages
■ Considerable reduction of intraoral dose:
Up to 90 % compared to film sensitivity class D and up to
50 % compared to E
■ Radiation limiter for digital exposures is a standard feature
36 apically spread periodontal ligament space
on mesial side, suspicion
of apical ostitis.
Incomplete root filling/medicinal filling, suspicion
of apical ostitis on mesial
side.
Remote timer: So that
you can operate the
HELIODENT DS outside of the X-ray room.

EASY OPERATION AND POSITIONING
Well thought-out point for point.
Simple operation is essential for a successful exposure. Whatever
exposure position you select: The functional and freely movable support
arm has a large range and enables easy and exact positioning of the
HELIODENT DS. The stable arm stays put where you want it, so that the
exposure can be released immediately.
The HELIODENT DS is easy and safe to operate and reduces the need
for retakes.
Clear symbols and digital display
Exposure selection is performed with the HELIODENT DS using only
a single rotary knob. The clear tooth and patient symbols ensure
fast adjustment. The preassigned exposure time appears on the
digital display and can be adapted to all commercially available film
speed classes. Individual time settings can be set specifically for
special exposures. Digital intraoral exposures can be taken with
SIDEXIS or another digital intraoral system at the push of a button:
The HELIODENT DS automatically switches to the extremely short
digital X-ray exposure times.
Advantages of the HELIODENT DS
■ Easy positioning
Flexible support arm with large range in three lengths: 1520,
1810, or 2060 mm
■ Easy operation
Rotary knob with patient and tooth symbols and digital display
of exposure time
HELIODENT DS: Easy exposure
selection via a combination rotary
knob with tooth and patient symbols.
The short digital exposure
times can be set with the push
of a button.
DIGITAL X-RAY WITH SIDEXIS
Rewarding in every respect.
Digital X-ray offers a variety of innovative possibilities for diagnosis and
practice organization: Elimination of the need for a darkroom, real-time
exposure display, the possibility of image postprocessing, and simplified
archiving are clear advantages. This makes practice work more effective
all around. You save space, time and money while simultaneously doing
something positive for the environment.
New: The X-ray box as link
Not every digital intraoral sensor requires its own PC. Now you can
connect it directly to a network-compatible X-ray box – available as
a wall-mounted version or on the treatment center. Any PC in your
practice can communicate with any X-ray box, and you can take
X-rays in different rooms.
With the XIOS intraoral system, we are offering you a practical
USB solution that enables flexible application in your entire practice
through modular installation. The filters and processing tools of
SIDEXIS XG X-ray software enable you to perfect your digital exposures
individually.
Digital advantages
■ Always correctly exposed, razor-sharp real-time images
■ No developing, no darkroom
■ Image postprocessing
■ Automatic archiving
■ Improved on-screen patient communication
■ Network capability of sensor system for maximum flexibility
and cost-effective extension possibilities

HELIODENT DS IN THREE VERSIONS
Fits in any practice.
Your practice rooms provide the framework for your equipment.
The HELIODENT DS can be flexibly adapted to its surroundings, because you have three versions to choose from: A wall-mounted
version with a short, long or extra long support arm either installed
in the X-ray room – or located directly at your treatment center:
The HELIODENT DS also comes in a ceiling-mounted version combined
with the SIROLUX Fantastic operating light; and if you use the
HELIODENT DS only occasionally, the mobile version is right for you:
It can be easily moved from room to room on a rolling stand.
Sirona leaves nothing to be desired in the field of intraoral X-ray
