Class 3 Information Reports

Red Kites by Abigail Morgan
Red Kites are birds of prey. That means they hunt for meat. Also, there is a
problem because red kites are supposed to hunt but because we throw away so
much they eat leftovers in the bins instead and so they won’t know how to hunt.
Did you know there used to be very few red kites? They were reintroduced
from Spain and now we see lots. Do you know Red Kites have V shaped tails so
you can tell a red kite from a pigeon with its tail out in a V shape.
Reptiles by Alex Butterworth
Do you want to learn about dinosaurs, snakes and lizards? Did you know that
most dinosaurs were reptiles? Reptiles have armoured skin.
Dinosaurs
Tyrannosaurus Rex or just Tyrannosaurus means giant lizard. Iguanodon means
giant tooth because Iguana means very big (Iguanas are the biggest lizards) and
don means tooth. Stegosauruses were some of the only dinosaurs which weren’t
reptiles.
Fascinating facts about snakes
Did you know that all snakes shed their skin? Snakes seem like they would go
slowly because of the way that they slither, but they are actually very fast!
Cats by Tyler Parham
Did you know cats can run at two miles an hour?
Cat’s teeth
Cats have milk teeth and usually their fangs come out first but you don’t need to
take your cat to the vet when this happens.
Cat food
You should feed your cat Felix because it’s healthy. Also your cat will enjoy it.
For treats most cats like fish and chicken biscuits.
How to keep your cat from getting ill
Always check for fleas and ticks. Also ticks carry a disease called Lyme disease
which will make cats very ill and they could die of it.
Amphibians by James Russ
Do you know about amphibians? If you don’t, read on.
Where do they live?

They’re things like frogs. Fish are not amphibians. Amphibians can come in all
colours. They can hold their breath for three hours.
What do they eat?
They usually eat insects and stuff like that. Sometimes they eat bigger stuff.
How big are they?
The biggest amphibians are salamanders. The smallest are tree frogs. Alligators
are not amphibians.
