This year’s edition of Patriot Baseball will
feature a young squad with just three returning seniors. Supported by a talented group of veteran underclassmen, the Patriot nine looks to rebound from
an injury-laden 2013 season and return to playoff
action. The defense returns starters in key positions
that will bolster the efforts of four starting pitchers.
As with GNG teams of the recent past, this
year’s squad will force opponents’ defenses to expect
the unexpected with a lot of “small ball” action.
Always determined and spirited, the 2014 Patriots
plan to be a formidable opponent in the Western
Maine Conference.

Your participation as a golfer in this years event
means that you will be playing in a scramble format. 4 Golfers will be teamed together and scores are recorded for the
team only. This format is great fun for everyone: experienced,
inexperienced or new golfer! The definition of a scramble is
as follows:
In a scramble, each player hits their own shot from
the tee. The team then chooses the best shot. Players whose
shots were not selected will pick up their balls and the entire team will then shoot their second shots from where this
“best shot” came to rest. This typically gives the option of
shooting from within a club length of the best ball. You cannot, however, move from the rough to the fairway, or fringe
to the green. Repeat hitting the best ball until it’s in the cup!





2013-2014 Season Outlook
We are returning this season with a strong
focus, determination and promise for success.
Last season ended for us at the regional Western
Maine final; and we are hungry—if not more, to
get back on the field & work towards a state title.
This season will bring new faces & talents to the
squad adding to our veterans and leaders from
previous seasons.
We are eager to get this season started and
have continued success, with improvement
throughout! All while playing a sport we (coaches
& players) have a passion for.

