PART A – TENDER SUBMISSION REVISE Date on FORM G2: Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit and Undertaking (Bid Security) (Page 2 of 2), in the second paragraph, to read “July 1, 2003”. PART B – BIDDING PROCEDURES REVISE clause B2.1 under B2. SUBMISSION DEADLINE to read: B2.1 THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS 12:00 NOON WINNIPEG TIME, May 2, 2003. Further to the requirements of B3. SITE INVESTIGATION, a mandatory Site meeting was held on April 22, 2003. At that time Bidders were afforded an opportunity to visit the interior of the boathouse structures and interior of the Aqueduct at standard manhole and boathouse locations within the work area of the Contract. REVISE D14.1(c) as follows: D14.1(c) The Intake gates at Shoal Lake are closed” to read “the Intake gates at Shoal Lake are closed and locked-out by the City. Page 2 of 3 ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO TENDER No. 225-2003 ADD D14.1(c) the following: D14.1(c) The Contractor may inspect the lock-out of the Intake gates, and may install their lock at the commencement of the shutdown and remove their lock prior to demobilizing from site. PART E – SPECIFICATIONS REVISE E2.2.4(a) as follows: “Mile 83.25” to read “Mile 83.47”. ADD to E2.2.4(a) the following: E2.2.4(a), To supplement the area available for field office compounds and parking within the Aqueduct right-of-way south of the GWWD railway at the Mile 83.47 gravel road crossing location, the City will clear and install gravel to create additional area for field office compound and parking within the Aqueduct right-of-way north of the Aqueduct. REVISE E2.2.8(a)(vi) E2.2.8(a)(vi) Access roads, parking and storage areas” to read “access roads to manholes and boathouses (including to BH83.02, if used), parking and storage areas. ADD to E4.4.2, (j) the following: E4.4.2, (j) Install a liquid-tight secondary containment tray, or groundsheet of suitable material (such as HDPE) and size spread on the ground, below external generators or other internal combustion equipment to contain fluids in the event of a leak or spill. DELETE E5.1.2 as follows: E5.1.2 Second sentence, “If requested, bag lunches will also be provided at no cost for Aboriginal labourers hired by the Contractor.” REVISE E5.1.3, first sentence to read as follows: E5.1.3 The City will provide at no cost to the Contractor accommodations in the Staff House and existing bunkhouse for up to 24 Contractor personnel, and if required, a designated area for the location of a Contractor supplied bunkhouse to house additional personnel. ADD to E9.4.3(c) (viii) the following: E9.4.3(c) (viii) A granular staging and storage area will be provided by the City between the Aqueduct and the GWWD railway adjacent to the west side of the granular path between the boathouse and GWWD railway. ADD E9.4.4(a)(i) the following: E9.4.4(a)(i, Alternatively, holes for power supply and hoses to a maximum of 150 millimetres in diameter may be core drilled through the wall of the standard manhole riser above ground level, above the level of the inner cover, and a minimum of 300 millimetres below the external manhole cover frame. Avoid core drilling through embedded reinforcing steel. ADD to E9.4.4(a)(vi) the following: E9.4.4(a)(vi) Repair holes for power supply and hoses core drilled through the wall of standard manhole risers by completely filling using a non-shrink non-ferrous cementitious repair material to match the profile of the surrounding concrete.
