Look at the spreadsheet at \\alexandria\_Library\Selectors\eStatistics\WhatisReportedWhere.xlsx for a breakdown of which vendors are providing which statistics. These are the reports you will commonly use: Journals: JR1 (article requests) Books: BR1 (title requests) BR2 (chapter requests) Most of our vendors report under BR2 but best to choose BOTH when running a report. Databases: DB1 (searches, clicks and views; sometimes sessions. ) PR1 (searches, clicks and views, generally on journal or book platforms) Sessions as a metric was deprecated with Release 4 of COUNTER last year. However, occasionally that is all the information we have on a resource. Sessions will appear in DB 1 reports. Searches appear in both DB1 and PR1 reports. As a metric, searches as less and less reliable because of cross‐search against vendor platforms and duplication of search numbers. The easiest way to get summary search statistics (combined DB1 and PR1) is to choose the ACRL 19 reports. New metric: Results Clicks and Record Views  Result clicks count each time a user clicked a link from the search result to the detailed view, a link resolver, etc.  Record views counts the abstract/detailed records explicitly viewed from the database. There is some overlap in this number and some vendors report one metric and not the other. This is becoming the most useful assessment for index and abstract databases. Multimedia: New report: MR1 for audio and video views / listens This report can be found under “Databases” on Intota. Slowly building data as the vendors begin to supply these reports.
